M3 is very affordable and easy to setup. I like it. Punch 3 ~ 5 is for Modified and 6~ 7 is for stock.

Ryan C,
Yes.. I am running one in my 1/12th scale car.. the thing is very small and lightweight... but most importantly it's very linear! I LOVE this thing. As far as comparing it to a Novak TC2... I have heard nothing but bad things from guys running anything with the (2) designation.. I haven't run one myself (only a Novak Atom) and I hear that they have a pretty big throttle curve to deal with so control in my opinon is sacraficed.
Hope this helps.

Yep
I have a cube.
The day I went to run it for the first time I was surprised how smooth and punchy it was.
I opted for the BIG capacitor (2 come with the unit) and immediatly ordered the Nosram Kit for my other car.
I wondered if the secret was on the capacitor.
My cars are similar (Xray T1 and EVO2) the motor was the same the track was the same and the tires were the same, but I had better acceleration with the cube
I only have good things to say about it
Small (as small as it gets)
Smooth
Punchy
Water proof

I have a T1 but recently I have been running a 1/12th scale Carpet Knife.. I installed the small cap for weight and space and love it.. but might be tempted to switch to the large one if I decide to run lower turn mods. what is the NOSRAM kit?

The NOSRAM kit is a set of accessories that includes 2 caps (one small and one BIG) and a nice red heatsink with NOSRAM printed on it.
Basically it's something that you buy for 20 bucks to add to the Nosram Power Dominator what's included on the M3.
LRP has a similar pack for the Quantum Competition

I have had a M3 for a while now. But have been too scared to run it in anything. Haven't heard anything from anyone about it till now..
Has anyone noticed any heat builup in the unit after a run on the track?...Does it handle mod?....if so, down to what turn (yes i know on the package it states 8turn but i want to know from experience.)
Guess i'll have to try it out soon..
I'm really interested in the heat issue...is there a heat issue?...thanks

Not that I noticed.
I touched the unit after each pack and it was cold. I was running 12 and the air temperature was around 26º Celsius.
The case is in fact an aluminum heatsink, so it will help a lot in dissipating any heat produced.
To be honest I didn't find a heat problem on the NOSRAM or LRP but some people complained about that.
If I were you I would try it pronto. It's a very good ESC.

...and there's always the cool factor.
The faces of you fellow racers asking - Where's the speedo? I can see the servo, the rx the "milk bottle" but I can't see any speedo in here!!!

Thanks Mike
Mike thanks for the explanation. LOL now I got more to think about. I always wondered about the shore rateing link and different color compounds. While I got your attention let me ask ya another question. I usually run off-road an I'm just getting into the Touring car scene. I'm also starting to race at other tracks in on-road so learning how to set up the car for each track is new to me. We just started racing occasionally at RC Madness in CT, which by the way is an awesome track. The track however is 3 1/2 hours away so just getting up there to do some testing is kinda rough. Heres my Dilema...the first half of the race my car seemed to be handling fine. As the race went on and my back end seemed to be getting looser and looser. I would imagine this is from the tires heating up. Should I got to a softer tire in the back? Any suggestions
Thanks
