Cool, at least someone bothered to scan the flyer and put it up online. You look at SoCal's site and you wouldn’t even know that they've held any races at all since last March.

Watch it buddy!!!! ....
I might just do that. What time are you going to be there? Did you get my e-mail? Just wanted to make sure it worked.

Mark.... they only had 27 entries when I signed up (Saturday).
Most of those are probably you guys (pan car) .
I don't know why Jim doesn't use his own site to promote this race. The flyer even says go to Socal.com for more info.

You know why??? He doesn't have any input on his site. It's done by someone else....don't know why it hasn't been updated yet....

Hmmm, maybe I can jump in here and do some work for him....

Hey, they’ve posted the flyer on their website now. It’s at: http://www.socalrc.com/gp.htm .

haha there was a reason for that, and I talked to Fred about it

Just for the record, though, to ease everyone's minds about it, I(HPI) didn't know the only weekend we had available was the TCS race, they had their typically good turnout and if we'd had at least a month lead time we would have ended up with 180 or so racers. At it ended up we still had a good turnout for only 2 week's notice.

Also just for the record, I'm not upset w/ rtypec, just wanted to make sure folks understood why we had the race that particular weekend. I'm hoping to set race dates for 2003 much earlier so we can avoid the same thing from happening.

...anyway, on with the conversation...

Woops. What I meant to say was that, as a racer, there was a conflict of intrest because I wanted to attend both events Just like the SoCal GP and the Toys for Tots race, I want to attend both. Toys for Tots because it is for a good cause with good people and the SoCal GP because it is so competitive.

Default 2003 HPI Challenge races

Frank McKinney;

So are you hinting that there WILL be a Southern California HPI Challenge event for 2003?

Thanks,

rtypec - I know you weren't upset, but I knew there would be lingering thoughts in people's minds about "why the heck are the HPI and TCS races on the same weekend?" I just wanted to clear that up, so if it comes up in conversation at least some people would have the facts. I'm not too worried about it!

popsracer - no, no hints, I've learned my lesson! I am currently planning on New Jersey and Detroit for regional races, plus hopefully Atlanta and maybe somewhere on the West Coast, with Lost Wages for the World Finals.

...didn't mean to hijack the thread...
