Very cool concept design. I'm interested. Let me know when you get the proto-type done. If it all goes together, fit and finish, I would be interested in one. Here's my email [email protected], keep me informed.

hi guys,
well said SammyXp.
If our prototype goes well, a few racers may take it up. At least until the new tc3 comes out.
Believe the Hien is a modifed SD at heart.
It is really just because i can and want to be different
It might work, it might not, dont know until you try.

Hi dave,
thanks for the info on the hien.
Luckily this prototype is mainly a tc3 with a few other off the shelf parts, there are only a few parts that have to me made/fettled to fit.
Glad to here the hien works well, but as it is based on a SD i am not suprised it breaks!
I have had quite a few offers from round here to drive the car when it is ready, looks like i might have to make two!

We've been kinda busy with other projects to make much progress on the TC3M, but it's still under development. Commonality in parts is definitely crucial. Anything that isn't off-the-shelf is being over-engineered to assure no breakage.

hi,
yep parts breakage is a real concern with a custom car and availability.
My warpspeed is getting very much custom, with a new top deck and with many parts polished and filed and machined to reduce weight and well.......make it look neat and tidy. I am dreading breaking it as each part had had some work done on it.
Also being in the UK i cannot get hold of warpspeed parts very easily.
Listen to me blabing on.............
How are you addressing the driveshaft lengths?
Was thinking of shortening a carbon tube tc3 shafts, but have found some donebones that will fit just to get the car running.

I love the center 2F design (pic3/4) and will surely try to get one if it goes production. That design makes the car UNIQUE!
It seems such design hasn't been named yet. How about this: TC3.5
.5 means the location of motor: middle of chassis
for True R/C Racing:
You might like to consider using center shafts from FW05R. I think the length of FW05R 2 pieces center shafts should close to what you need. Using as much exist parts as possible will help lots to drop price and increase maintainability.
