drove my b4.1 13.5 setup, 8mm chassis setup, was running really quick and consistant- 19 flats and 19.6's
so then a fellow racer let me run his 22 in the qual. Why is it faster?
I do not want to give up my a.e but i was running 18.5's all the qual no hiccups.
my b4.1 feels really good but i could only imagine what I can do if I had a 22, i feel it is smoother.....
I am running vin nocella's setup i posted pages back, i am making top 5 of a right now but I would like to make top 3 and I think a 22 would do it.
Anybody who has a setup (8mm) med high traction clay let me know. Or my car is finding a new owner

first on all I agree with you the 22 is a great ride...
but here is a
true story
Just last Tuesday ?
We have a local sponsored driver that swore by the 22 switch to a B4.1 8m .
On his first qualifier he went faster...
beat his personal best with the 22 by about 4sec..

and he already had 2 months on the layout with the 22...
So if you are thinking your ride is not as good , you R so wrong .
The B4.1 8m has all the competition covered right now and they in a scrabble trying to catch back up ...

Believe me , you do have the best ride already ...

one thing I learned a long time ago is AE and Losi are both equally fast. It's possible that one brand is better suited to your driving style. but I will say in the short time I have been coming back to race again, I have been watching alot of the race videos and saw several first hand.... still haven't seen a 22 that impressed me with the exception of the nats

so I havent been to the track yet to make some of the changes that were suggested before for the roll bit I am going to try lowering my ride height a little to try to prevent roll. I was thinking off adding some anti-squat too(I have none in the car now) because if im not wrong, it should have less side bite, which in my mind makes sense because the only time my car 'rolls' is taking a turn with alot of speed, and the back end gets a little loose then grabs to hard and my car goes into an intensive barrel roll.
My next issue is my car pushes when I enter a turn, if I get completely off throttle my steering improves alot, but if I keep on power my steering seems to push some... What would you guys suggest? i posted a page before that has the link of my track. it is medium-high bite, wet, and bumpy in sections, pretty technical. I am running the paul wynn setup except I have 2* camber, and AE browns instead of Kyosho dark yellows in the front. The rears have AE greens, 30wt up front 25wt in the back. Front shocks have 5 spacers for limiters and the rear has 2, ride height is set at 24mm.
I know very little about what helps what and causes what reaction, so bare with me.
I feel the car needs a little more traction all around, mostly in the front, maybe very little in the rear. The back end bouncing around then throwing me into a barrel roll is the biggest issue I want to take care of, I see other buggys at my track take both turns entering and exiting the straight with no problem, so I know its do-able. But it seems most people at my track run 22s.

Are these the inline axles everyone is talking about?
http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...Axle-Blue-B4-2
and what difference do they make?

Yes, you will also need to get the new inline axle steering blocks.
It moves the steering center line about 5mm forward
The steering feels more controlled on my buggy with them installed.

I would like to know also.
I am running about 24mm ride height and I do not have side traction roll at all. Car feels good just pushes a little in the corners even if i hardly touch the throttle
