I've got a JConcepts cover for our outdoor track which is pretty dusty/dirty. Fit is decent and its velcroed in place so its fairly easy to use. Our indoor local track is much tidier and doesn't need the cover. On a cleaner track they are just kind of a pain.

Thanks for any info!
Savannahmick & Coxmaster........ call ae and talk to their service/repair dept. They have taken very good care of me when I have called. Good luck.

I've got one but never use it. The only time I would pull it out is if the track had standing water on it and honestly I'd just assume not be on it.

Default Maintenance

What maintenance are you guys doing after a race weekend. I feel like I need to do more. I am checking/adding fluid in the shocks every race night, I rebuild when they start leaking or not preforming. I check the ball diff after every race, I take it apart and check for grooves in all the washers about once a month. I only rebuild or change bearings and washers when needed... I check all nuts and bolts after a night of racing. Other than that I don't do much, Granted I keep it pretty clean all the time, so I am assuming this helps. Are you guys oiling anything, CVA's, bearing, motor, etc... If so with what and how often. Thanks for any and all info,

Tim

I clean it. Go over the screws and nuts make sure they are tight. Clean the tires apply Tire Tweaker to the tires. I check the axle drive pins(I have broken a few of them) I check the rims for cracks. I have found one cracked already

I readjust all the suspension settings. I have found through out a night my buggy and truck will change a lot after a night of racing. one night the truck went from -1 camber to =3 camber

Hey guys- looking for more low-speed, off-power steering.

Where should I go? Front camber link?

A quick and easy way would be to get lower caster blocks. You can also slide your pack to the front. It's hard to really discuss camber links without knowing the whole setup.

You should see a small half round groove with a small screw hole beneath it on each side (front side of the tower). Bar lays in the groove and is held in with a small button head screw and washer.

Point taken. How will adding washers to the front camber link affect handling? ie raising the roll center at the shock tower...

The slipper disks can get too hot , grooved & scratch up ..

Replacement is the best way to fix, sanding the coating off will not work..

* slipper pads can be sanded clean to perform like new .

To those who have glued the servo saver down, any problems with it coming apart? I only ask because I stripped the plastic the servo saver nut holds on to so I had to leave the spring out so I can reassemble it.

I was playing around with it because I had a nasty on power push on the truck which I've never had a problem with, ever. I checked the steering and it had a lot of give, even with the nut all the way down, so I CAd the servo saver together. Now it's beautiful, just worried that it could come apart with a good hit.

I usually wash my pit towel. I will also take a quick look for anything obvious that is loose or out of place. I am finely getting consistent lap times. The more I tinker the less consistent I become. When I notice changes to the drive of the truck and the track hasn't changed much I start looking for any problems. I am now starting to make changes/adjustments to decrease lap times. This works for me and may not be the best option for you.
