Tamiya mini cooper
Race at a new indoor smooth track which has freash Ozite carpet down.
The new carpet has alot of bite.
The Races seem to between the M03's and the M05's.
Running the Sweeps tires.
The M06's tend to push under power.
Some guys are switching to the M05's.
So far, M05's are the dominated car here in Florida, USA.

One of the other guys at our club has his 06 going well, S grips in back with Type A slicks in front! Its too easy to go back to a FWD, im putting my M03r on the shelf and will perservere with the 06. If i can get the steering where I want it, the off corner drive should prove helpful.
Keen to grab Tamiyas newest offering? You sure?
The long-awaited 4WD Mini - The M-Four? Perhaps you might want to check out the picture below first..

Lets assume that they've overstated the price by...let's say double. That STILL makes it twice the price of any other readily available 4WD Mini!!! All of which take NORMAL size motors and NORMAL batteries..
This is one Mini that probably wont see the inside of the rc-mini garage I'm afraid.

It´s "interesting", at least....
A 4WD mini, a chassis sure will handle the extra power from brushless motors and it comes ready for a 380 and 1100 batteries.
I´ve checked current date twice... Aprils fool day? No, we´re almost in December.

Just by way of a reference point, last week we got hold of a fully-optioned Atomic VMII 4WD Mini. All carbon, all alloy, etc. A Big Mac with extra fries so to speak if you want it in hamburger terms.
For $155 USD...

They're off their nut. Street price will probably be lower, but it's still crazy for a mini. I suppose the only other issue I'd be concerned about is the (Tamiya specific) market getting split up. I'm a purist. Mini should be mini.
Just cause I love my Evo Lancers, here's my lastest incarnation of my M-05 with the Ride Evo X shell, sitting next to my DF-03 Rally in Evo V livery.

Then for giggles, put some 1/10 wheels on it. I think it looks hot!

both look great.
I especially like the broken front lip on the rally.
just like you'd expect of the 1:1.

and as for the m4; I'd sooner get the after market conversion for the tt01.
I love tamiya, but I'm not spending $300+ on a mini!?!

Hi me fellow M racers,
I am using Cva shocks on my m03, any suggestion on my c/a shock setting.??
I plan to use trf piston as I have a few laying around 2 hole, should I use medium or thick shock oil??

I don't think the TRF pistons will work as the shocks have a much narrower bore.
I would use the 1-hole CVA pistons and heavy oil (Tamiya supply #900 with the Super Minis) if you want anything approaching a damper, rather than just a spring support.
In the past I've used betwen #600 and #900 in the shocks to get the handling balance I want.
Those shocks will handle well on the car, but they are prone to wearing out and leaking. You also have a shade less adjustment than on the TRFs.
