You can get adjustable upper links and rear hub carriers with different degrees of toe in, from Tamiya or aftermarket suppliers. The only thing I haven't adjusted on an M-03 is caster and I'm sure someone's figured that out by now.

My current setup, within "mini tolerances", has about 1.5 degrees toe out on the front and toe in on the rear. Camber is...leaning in a bit. Oil is about 20wt, springs are bright yellow front and bright red on the rear. Ride height is about5-6mm. Shocks are the old bronze coloured TRF ones and I've put a few o-rings in each.

I'm being vague, not on purpose, but because if I lift my mini off the table, everything changes by at least a few degrees or millimeters. As the car bounces along on the bumpy surface we're currently racing on, everything changes. On or off throttle, it changes.

With a mini, setup is an inexact science. Using a setup station (I believe) can take you so far, but if any one thing on the car changes, like a weight falls off or the paint on your new shell is slightly thicker than the old one, it's a whole new game.

The implication in your post suggests that the M06 is the better car. It only proves that on that day, under those track conditions, it was quicker. From what I've observed, the M06 is only better on hi-grip surfaces like carpet.

For most of the tracks I run on, the FWD Mini has proven to be better. In a weak moment, I purchased the M06. But the kit still sits in my shop, still in it's cellophane wrapper, still unopened. Watching all of my friends struggle with the car did not inspire me to unwrap the kit.

Bang on the money there Bob. My M06 hangs on the wall unwanted and unloved...

Its an even worse situation over here as the M06 really struggles to cope with the extra torque from the Hobbywing systems we use and you spend most of your time trying to stop it swapping ends.

Track surface does seem to be the great separator for minis. The RWD cars seem to really hate asphalt, in most cases, but will tend to fare better on carpet.

However, my club was recently moved in to share a facility with another. Our track was high grip and glass smooth and the 06 DOMINATED. The new track has slightly lower grip Ozite and more "texture". There is much less of a difference between the FWD and RWD cars on this new track.

Think of it this way, I switched back to an 03 from an 06 and I'm making the A main again. If i was a more consistent driver, I might even be in the top 3.

Race at a new indoor smooth track which has freash Ozite carpet down.
The new carpet has alot of bite.
The Races seem to between the M03's and the M05's.
Running the Sweeps tires.

The M06's tend to push under power.
Some guys are switching to the M05's.

So far, M05's are the dominated car here in Florida, USA.

Yes faster in that condition. Smooth, med/high traction.

In TAC Singapore, bumpy carpet track, high traction, M05 dominated. The bumpiness caused the M06 to be too unstable despite the high traction.

I never bought the M06, did not like the design. But finally have one, my daughter won it as a prize in Singapore. Built it but so far do not love it.

This is my second design in the Mini class. Completed during saturday practice at Spanish Mini Nats 2011.

1200Kv outrunner motor/spool directly driving front wheels. Powerful enough to destroy Atomic universals for Kyosho Spada, but lack of torque lead to a fried motor on a twisty track.

I´ve installed a much torquey 900Kv and Kyosho universals to solve this...

The suspension setup feature 1/12 front springs plus silicone lubed O-rings. ARCA track got several bumpy sections where I can see that this setup lack of suspension travel.

I´ve modified this removing 1/12 springs and installing Traxxas 1/16 shocks as I did in other proyects. The shock becames longer when suspension compresses, and springs are inside (under the piston).

Separate class for FWD and RWD minis, interesting. In the near future, there might be a 4WD/AWD mini class...

Lets assume that they've overstated the price by...let's say double. That STILL makes it twice the price of any other readily available 4WD Mini!!! All of which take NORMAL size motors and NORMAL batteries..

This is one Mini that probably wont see the inside of the rc-mini garage I'm afraid.
