Did you need to do a lot of adjustment to the suspension? ride height, camber, toe, shock oil etc?

My chassis will be here Wed and racing it on Friday with the new chassis
Do yourself a favor. Go to the AE website. Go to the setups and check out Paul Wynn's club race setup. Dialed!

Good point. Actually, I expect I'll be going so slow that I won't break anything

Still, arms, front tower and ball caps...

Next question (which keeps getting mysteriously deleted )

All the upper shock caps leak. The o-ring doesn't feel like it's getting compressed at all. I'm not over-tightening the cap.

Is the o-ring supposed to get compressed against the top of the tube (the very narrow top edge), by the sloping part of the cap?

I've just tried putting loads of green slime all around the inside of the cap, on the o-ring and the top end of the shock body.

I'll check how that goes...

ThunderbirdJunkie just got his +8 kit. Neat how they reused the B4 tooling for the B4.1 extended chassis. Good job on keeping costs low so you keep racers' costs down, AE

Depending on your track I would start with 28/75 and go from there

Default rear end

i have some questions about the rear toe-in and the rear hubs, but i dont know how to ask them, so why would i need the extra .5degrees on the rear hub rather than the rear toe-in blocks.
what is the advantage to having the extra degrees on the end of the arm,

Using the toe block to adjust toe will have a bigger affect on the wheelbase.

I haven't ran ESC timing in a while but I'd say in the ball park to start of 75/25

Just got to say this shock setup is great!!!! I went to 30 AE oil up front to gain a bit of steering for a smaller track and 32.5 on a larger track. Good stuff here!!! Thanks Cherry!!

how do you think that'd work with a mildly bumpy track?

also i dont have kyosho shocks, are any of the AE shocks close to the Kyosho yellow?

it changes the overall wheel base, its hard to explain but they do work different.

If you add toe with the toe block you shorten the wheelbase, the arms sweep forward as you add toe. Using the .5 deg hubs gets you more toe but doesn't "shorten" the car nearly as much.

Browns are reportedly the closest. Also, the correct term is "spring". The shock is the aluminum doodad the spring goes on.

Just (almost) finished the +8 swap, wired up a new ESC. Still have to pop the servo in, but kind of debating whether to retire the Airtronics 94358 for the new Spektrum 6040 or what.

Ugh. ThunderbirdJunkie hates decisions.

Here's the car:
