I had the plus 12mm rcrd chassis, but I faced a jump and bent it behind the servo. So bought the plus 8mm factory team chassis and love it. I could not get a set up for indoor to work with the rcrd chassis.

so I am going to make the spektrum race at trackside and want to run stock and mod buggy... I have never run 17.5 blinky before does anyone know a good gearing to start with and the amount of timing in the motor for a duo3?

It was a joy building the B4.1 FT kit, my last kit was the sc10 4x4...YACK!

All the little upgrades really made the car drives/handles alot smoother than the RTR. Put the car thru its paces at ocrc, adjusting the ball diff and slipper, didin't have a single thing break on me, not even a pop ball cup! Reedy sonic is smooth as butta. The car is a little bit on edge, but I'm kind of used to it with the rtr so will wait before going with +8mm.

Thanx for the recommendation on the upgrade! Best $220.00 I've spent yet in RC...yes I got a great deal!

For those of you with a good rhythm section on your track, what weight shock oil are you running? Right now I'm running 35/30 with brown/green springs and it is good everywhere except for the rhythm section. I want to go lighter, but the lightest oil I have is 25. Has anyone had success with oil lighter than that?

Try this for the rear shock , 27.5w #3 piston , hand drill the piston holes with a #55 drill.

I'll have to consider that, thanks. What weight in the front, 27.5 also, or 30?

whats a good servo for the b4.1 for racing and its specs? Dont want to buy the wrong one,

I'm running an XP Digital DS1313 in my B4.1.

32.5 to 35w oil for ft shock

so general consensus is between 100 and 170oz of torque and .08 speed or less at 6v?

Agreed! It was a handme down from the 4x4, may eventually go with the 1257

Speed(@6.0V sec/60): .08

Savox 1256Tg
Speed(@4.8V sec/60): .18
Torque(@4.8V oz-in): 222.2
Speed(@6.0V sec/60): .15
Torque(@6.0V oz-in): 277.7


I don't see a point to run a higher TQ servo in a lighter car/truck. You don't need the TQ.

The 1256 works well in a 4x4 SC10. Which is what I use mine in. It's fast. not as fast as the 1258 but it's fast.
