Kyosho Big Bore Shocks
#80
wow thats surprising to me... I would expect it over the st truck though. I am even surprised they did a new kit for the 2wd and 4wd without changing anything... All they added was shocks and alum hexs... which everyone already bought anyways... no sus holders no hubs. I see no use in getting the new kit just for the poop colored alum.

also thanks for the info on tebos set up... im thinking about going with the all reds since I was close to his shock/spring set up without even knowing it... I ran the 75 fronts and 68 or 72 blue rears, not sure which blue I have.

Ran the big bores on my RT5 for the first time this weekend. Really really didn't like them. Smooth but bumpy track, few big jumps. My truck is sooooo hooked up with the standard shocks.
I can see I'm going to have a lot of work to get the big bores to where my standard shocks are.
With the standard RT5 shocks I'm at:
Fr- 65, Losi 32.5w, 3-B
Rr- 65, Losi 27.5w, 3-B
With BB's
Fr- Red, Losi 37.5, Losi 55
Rr-Yellow, Losi 32.5, Losi 55
I think, Ill try them again with Yellows front and rear, Kyosho pistons, Losi 40w and 37.5w. Hoping that will get me closer.
Just a question. Between the Losi 55 pistons and the Kyosho 5 hole pistons, how much of a change in oil weight will be required?

I will try the 2 stage pistons as soon as i get some time though.

It's great to just have a single section on Big Bores.
I suggested that the Off Road section add sub sections for each brand. For example, there would be AE, Losi, Kyosho etc... This was to the moderators but they don't like the idea.
Then with those sections we could have set-up threads, big bore threads, individual car threads, galleries. Would make it so much easier to find relevant material other than say a thousand page thread for the RB5.
The Off Road section is a mess, especially with all "The Official" blocking the titles.
If you like the idea of a sub section for Kyosho so we can have our information in a good order, send a pm to the Moderators or say something here: http://www.rctech.net/forum/r-c-tech-site-forum-14/
