Default Bluebird brushless servos

I was wondering if anyone has tried the brushless servos from Bluebird?
What were they like? Longevity? Customer service?

These are the ones I'm looking at:

BLS-2209 is a High Voltage (7.4V) Brushless Digital Servo featuring Titanium gears and an Alu heat sink case.

Weight: 66 grams
Dimensions: 54.50 x 20 x 39 mm
Torque @ 6V: 18 kg/cm
Torque @ 7.4V: 22 kg/cm
Speed @ 6V: 0.11sec / 60 deg at no load
Speed @ 7.4V: 0.09sec / 60 deg at no load
Alu Heat Sink Case
Titianium Allow Gear
Brushless Motor
Digital

And...

The BLS-3114 is a High Voltage (7.4V) Brushless Digital Servo featuring Titanium gears and an Alu heat sink case. The BLS-3114 includes a heavy duty servo horn set.

Specification:
Weight: 71 grams
Dimensions: 40.5 x 20 x 39 mm
Torque @ 6V: 25 kg/cm
Torque @ 7.4V: 31 kg/cm
Speed @ 6V: 0.16sec / 60 deg at no load
Speed @ 7.4V: 0.14sec / 60 deg at no load

Features:
Alu Heat Sink Case
Titanium Gear
Brushless Motor
Digital Servo
Dual Ball Bearing
JR style connector
Compatible with 2s Lipoly (7.4v), 6 cell Nimh & 2 cell A123 (6.6v).

The fact that they are brushless with tons of torque and high voltage is awesome. I don't want to hear about any hear say or they're cheap so they're garbage, I would prefer to hear from people who have actually used the servos I've listed. And I don't like Hitec so I don't want to see any comments that say Hitec is the best or any other servo companies out there for that fact. I'm only interested in the 2 Bluebird servos I've listed and from people who have actually used them with real experience with them.

I have 2 Turnigy mg959 servos and they have been through hell and back and I've never had a problem with them, they may not be the fastest but for $23 each they're f***ing great. So I'm a big supporter on getting a good deal even if it's from a company thats not Hitec, Futaba, KO, JR or any of the over priced servos out there.

Don't mean to be brash but someone is going to write something to crash my thread but I don't give a s**t about them I want actual facts about these servos not BS.

Thanks in advance,
Philip

I have bought other Bluebird servos and used them in traxxs 4x4 slash. for the money they work. not as good as other brands, but look at the price. and you may get a dud. You take a chance. I have not found support for them like others. I usually get them from hobbyking.

I was going to order the 2209 Friday, but a good deal on a 30cc gass plane cam up and Im going to look at it Friday instead. So i will have to wait till next payday to order one. I have mentioned this on another thread. When I get the 2209 I will post the results for sure. I my do a vid too. We'll see.

And I am still very interested in hitec's when it comes out.

Bluebirds are great servos... While I haven't had experience with the BL ones, the other few that I've used work great for about a year, then start to have issues(I beat on them HARD).

I use the BB 617 servo overvolted to 8.4v, they survive fine as long as your endpoints are set close, are fast, and torquy for a $25 servo that I replace every year...

Same here, never used the BL ones. Only issue I've ever had was the gear sets getting sloppy faster than some other brands, not a big deal considering their cost. I've found gear sets on e-bay as well.

They are some of the best Iv used, I have about 7 of them and have ran them for all over 2 years, and a couple for about a year, and all work perfect with no issues. I love them, and they cant be beat for the price.

I had two Bluebirds four years ago, they were horrible. Both burned out on the bench just by powering up, and yeas they were correctly wired.

Won't ever recommend them to anyone, not even someone I don't like.

Were they the cheaper ones or the $40-$60 coreless servos?

I just ask because I've had the Hitec 5625mg and the 5645mg and they lasted for about a month and then crapped out as well as a 5965mg at $95which melted out the bottom of the of the servo case by a faulty amplifier. And it seems like I'm the only one they won't cover with the warranty on here reciept or no reciept.

The point is every company is going to have faulty servos and customer service but when TIM3 gets his and does what he does with it would be a more accurate resource of the higher end servos that Bluebird has. And at half the price of the Hitec BL that are supposed to come out far into the future but if you look at the Bluebird website at there BL specs they are just as good or better than the Hitec specs but cheaper.

It all depends where you will use this servo. If you are looking for servo for onroad pan car for racing or servo for some 3D heli flights... you better go with established brand. If you are just bashing... it is ok to use whatever you are comfortable with... I had maybe four or five BlueBird servos, some Turnigy servos and some other cheap servos. They looked ok while I was driving for fun. But when I got to track and did some laps with cheap servo and later changed to established brands... I was faster, driving was more precise and my results were better. Off cause cheap brands are getting better and better. But still I can not find cheap servo which will work like my Sanwa or Savox or Futaba in my pan car. In onroad my lap times shows me difference very precisely .

audriusv, I have also used the Bluebird metal gear servos in off road and have lasted one season racing, getting to where the don't center well and have play. But, for the price of them, I'm willing to try the Bluebird brushless servos.

I also have 2 Turnigy MG959 servos that have lasted through 2 seasons of racing and practices and they still center perfectly and They have been crashed at practice and even drowned in water and they still work perfectly and they cost $23 a piece at Hobbyking. I just don't want to spend good money on a Hitec Brushless if I could get 2 Bluebird brushless servos that are as good as the Hitec for the price of one Hitec I will do that.

I have some bad experience with new Hobbyking products. So I am not buying anything first version from Hobbyking anymore . I try only V2 or later...

That is true for almost any brand these days...

PS: it is yours money and you buy what you want to...

PPS: look for Savox, they are not bad ones and with nice price tag.

PPPS: there is a company Radiopost from Korea. They have some servos with crazy specifications... I have seen one for 115USD here... As a new company they should provide exceptional customer service

The Savox look good and they fit my budget as well, Radiopost look good as well. I will buy what I want, I just like info before I purchase and real info on a product not someone pushing one on me because they claim the company they use is the best. Real world info is the only way to go.
