I would not say that it is completely new. There is a few buggies out there with similar layouts. And there is HHH conversion for HB D8/VE8 very similar. So no big revolution here. Only nice evolution .

I think what bigjay is saying is they didn't just make a conversion kit and slap be on the box. I'm a little frustrated but really really looking forward to this buggy. It should be a great car IMO from past serpent products. The quality is great.

I hope! I do not have very good feelings about Serpent because of 811 nitro kit my colleague was dealing with... In my mind such high priced kit should not have any quirks at all.

And I am happy that they have some changes in bearings.

Hope that this time the kit will be truly Serpent quality!

I just recently started running my serpent e converted truggy and it's a great handling truck. I have heard a lot of people didn't like the clutch and breaking system on the nitro buggy&truggy but with electric you don't have to worry about that.

Doubt it, as every motor/battery combination could need a different pinion gear.

I dont think so I didnt see one in the manual or spare parts on the Serpent website

It's clearly made to suit a 2x2s setup, so that limits your motor choice and pinion range.
