If you have big hands, one way to avoid hitting the trim switches is powering up the transmitter AFTER you picked it up.

What does the Duel Rate do, I see that on set ups that Duel Rate is 100% or whatever. Thanks, I have this radio and love it, came from a M8 so long time Air fan.

Default Covered/hidden socket

Hi, anyone know what is the purpose of hidden/covered socket on the RX-451/451R receivever, it's for updating the receiver firmware. The covered socket is beside the ST socket. It have 4 pins inside.

Here you go mate, straight from the horse's mouth (I emailed Airtronics Support):

Hello,

That port is used by the factory to setup the firmware, it is not for use by the end user.

Default lipo

To all of those who are running lipos in this radio, did you hae to change any settings or anything? i ask because I just grabbed one earlier today and bought a 3s venom lipo for it and as soon as it was plugged in and turned on the radio said the voltage was too high at 11.1 but the packaging stated it was specific for the m11x? so i quickly disconnect it bc I dont wanna hurt my new radio, also it says in the manual do not use 3s lipo.... so anyone have any insight on this?

you might have gotten an M11 lipo pack and not the M11X lipo pack.

M11X requires 2S lipo pack and not 3S. Good thing you didn't burn it.

Firstly, I would be contacting the shop who sold it to you and demanding a refund or at the very least, the change for a 2s/7.4V LiPo. But before you do that, make sure you test your Tx with normal AA batteries, to make sure it is working 100% exactly as it should be. If anything is wrong or somehow malfunctioning, I would be taking it up with Venom directly, or their distributor for the country in which you live and demanding they pay for complete repairs to your M11x, including any postage fees (use overnight), give a full refund for the 3s they sell which states on the packet it's safe for M11x and also for them to provide a free 2s LiPo that will actually work with your radio.

I just hope nothing has gone wrong with the Tx, coz I've got no idea if the M11x has any form of voltage regulation of fuse of any sort. It's just crazy that a company like Venom, which isn't some tiny little 2 man operation, would make such an obvious but also important mistake on their packaging. Even if it was the printer's fault, making a mistype or something, someone from Venom should have checked all that before the battery was put into distribution.

Good luck with it mate, I sure hope your M11x is still working and completely unharmed. Please keep us all informed as to how you go. But first test with AA batts to see if anything's been damaged.

Yep, fits absolutely perfect. I wrap mine in a layer of thin foam (it covers the top, side and bottom with the other thin side open/no foam). That way I don't need to have any foam blocks at either end to stop it moving around coz the foam sandwich keeps it perfectly steady and in place. I also use it as a sort of grab handle as it makes getting the battery out so much easier than messing around with turning the control around or sticking a screwdriver or somethin in there to lever it up. I don't like yanking on the leads to pull it out, obviously better not to do that.

How much they charging at your shop? If any more than US$20, you can get them from ebay for that much with free worldwide shipping. Just FYI.
