I had one of my weights from the rear triangles shoot into the servo compartment. I thought I was glitching but it turned out to be a wedged weight in my servo compartment intermittently causing my servo to lock up.

Depends on the traction your racing on , if you have med to high traction the carbon is better because your ride will be easier to drive and make fewer mistakes ..
If traction is slippery , the plastic will be easier to drive ...
With the 8m ?
Carbon arms , rear U-brace , nose plate ft arm brace will be the ticket , as the 8m has more traction than the standard chassis ....
The carbon U brace by it self is a small change compared between the plastic U , if you are having traction issues try a lower ride height , ck your slipper and tires first before switching ....

The bad thing is I'm 2.5 hours drive from a track. Makes it hard to find the cause of stuff like this.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll try the stock brace next time I'm at the track but I've been running on what I could call high traction (CRCRC & RC Factory). There is just something wrong with the car, I can make big swings at the setup and it just doesn't change much. Example went from zero washers to 3 under rear link Saturday just to try to feel a major change. It's twitchy and loose; the front end will never release coming on power. I'm going through the car this week, I'm hoping I find something cracked. I read on Opple with someone having a similar symptom and people recommended gluing the servo saver. Any thoughts on this? I have been running the car with the heavy servo saver.

Keep in mind, if you glue it you might just end up breaking the servo rack…seen it happened.
