Ties were broken firstly by the points from the dropped round. If still tied, it reverts back to the driver with the best elapsed time. This rewards consistency firstly and then speed if you're both consistent

Dropped rounds don't come into it when breaking ties. Both counting rounds are allocated points and if the points are tied then the fastest time in the counting rounds is used as the tie breaker.

Is all good, although I didn't think Ash ran the last SCT race, he went home.
And the mod 4wd results don't look right either, either way, what is done is done, no point stressing over spilt milk ..... Or what ever.

Hopefully I see you all on Sunday for the last KEILOR hurrah on the old track.

4wd mod looks fine, it's ray up front and the race is on for 2nd place haha

seriously now, according to allycat, the tie break is of the Fastest Time of the *3rd best final.

I thought the tie break was the fastest time of ANY finals. Guess I'm wrong. I get confused of tie breaks too. At some places, the tie break is the highest qualifier.

anyway, thought I'd bring this up while were on the subject. At other venues where I race, they are using allycat v9.1.2.32 where it calls the names of the drivers for staggered starts, instead of numbers. Also, during qualifiers it calls out the 'predicted' laps of the run for the top 3 runners. What I'm saying is, what does it take to update to the latest allycat version? Is it as simple as downloading from their site, or do you need to pay for updates?

I think you will find Knox is running the very latest in allycat versions, I know it is alot newer than the one we use at Keilor. As long as it works, it's all good.

There's sh1t load of preferences in Allycat, whether it be call numbers, names, break ties many different ways, etc etc etc.

Timekeeper said this race had points set first and time second preference, probably not quite correct this time around but it is only the second time this version of the software has been used.

As far as I can tell, the only results that would have changed is 2wd Stock, John and Scotty should have been the other way around...minor places in the same group should be the other way around and same in 4wd Mod. SCT is hard because of the unknown third final, Ash definetly won and Scotty second, but not sure on third as there's nothing for me to verify the third final times.

I'm sure if there's a question re the actual Vic Drivers Series points, we can address any concerns of final placings if it's that close to a final outcome.
