Default ? on parallel charging

So we now have our new charging station setup consisting of an i306B, 47A PSU and a parallel board from EP Buddy. Awesome setup, charging a single 5000 Mah 5S in 9 min....sweet.

Now the info I've seen/heard on charging multiple packs is make sure cell counts are the same.....got it.

But as far as Mah's goes, some are charging with different capacities, some say make sure Mah's are the same. So which way is correct?

Keep the capacities the same. The charger will charge it to the correct voltage but the higher capacity pack will take longer to reach the same voltage.

In parallel, same cell counts, can be diff capacities....

See 6th paragraph - they can be diff capacities (within reason) - you wouldn't parallel charge 2200, 4000, 6000 and a 450mah 2S lipos together.

Most of what you see on the net as examples are the same capacities, but that's just because that's what they need or have to charge, not that it's required part of parallel charging.

Yes I've only seen a couple that are saying the capacity should be the same.
A lot more saying Mah's can be different but within reason.

Thanks guys.

Capacity ratings can vary between batteries but from what I've read the state of charge between the batteries should be close.

Usual advice prior to connecting in parallel is that lipos are within 0.1v. That may be severe as I've connected them with more diff than that with no apparent probs.
