I must be too hardcore for my own good then, because red locktite only worked for a while with mine. I upgraded now though, so I don't have to worry about the sad engineering behind the set screws. Still can't figure out why people would defend this design. I can only assume you have not owned a good rig with pin-through shafts.

Edit: Just out of curiosity, is anyone's argument that the set screws are actually better than pin-through?

You have no Idea how anyone runs EXCEPT yourself, so quit pissing.
No one is defending anything except you! All I did was state that I do not have any issues with set screws, now are you going to call me a liar and start a war or are you MAN enough to except that maybe YOUR way isn't necessarily a prerequisite for a scale truck....good god get real!

Share your experience with the parts but quit being so damned sarcastic, it makes you sound childish

I'm just screwing with ya because you were taking it so seriously. I wish sarcasm came through better in text.

New to the scaler scene, but my SCX driveshaft set screws kept loosening up - so I loc-tited them in, and put heat-shrink tubing around the yoke - seemd to have held so far. The HS tube is an expensive option I suppose, but I had it lying around, so I used it...

[sarcasm] Is that hardcore enough? [/sarcasm]

Sorry guys, couldn't resist Meant all in good fun
