I have only used a few transmitters as I have only been in rc for 5-6 yrs. My last transmitter was a futaba, which had a good feel and all the features I needed for nitro. The problem I had with futaba was it was unreliable in the heat. I had a few races I could not complete because my receiver/transmitter would go to failsafe. After traveling several hours and several 100's of dollars it was very frustrating. I have been using the M11X now for aprox. 1 - 1 1/2 yrs. and I can honestly say in my experience it is by far the most reliable and user friendly sys. I have used TO DATE!

Thanks for the info mate, I´m going with the M11X as I tried holding one the other day. And it felt great, so my pockets will be empty again for some time (long time)...

Well i just brought a new M11X which i am very excited about
The stock 1500 battery idea simply freaks me out.. and id really like somehting that will give major run time whilst reducing weight of the unit
I was wondering what lipo people are finding that works welll with a high capacity, I see most are 2300/2500 and lrp do a nice 3600 size one which i would like to give a go but its pretty dear
I know this has been asked and beleive me i have read all posts but i feel there must be a well priced option out there and a proven battery at that, I have never used lipos before so i feel out of touch as to whats good etc

I get at least 12+ hours from my Intellect 2300 2s LiPo if I leave the LCD backlight on constantly & around 16-17 hours if I don't use the backlight. I can definitely recommend this battery as it is one of the least expensive 2s LiPo packs that will fit in the M11x battery compartment. I got mine from ebay for only $20 with free shipping.

Wow 16/17 hours.. sick!

I have good faith in intellect batteries too as thats what i run for receiver (NiMh) and they have been brilliant. $20 for a battery that will only need charging every couple or few months sounds good to me

work very well but i must admitt the above is the way to go imo.
Aaron 125 do you use expo for throttle??
I'm trying to find away to tame the throttle on my f1 without losing
the response time.(same probs as we were discussing before with steering)
Any ideas?

Nah, I've no need as the 5955 I use is a 0.15s servo so not too quick & just about perfect for my buggy. Still need a bit on the steering though, because even though the 7955 I use is the same 0.15s as the 5955, the MP9 just has so much steering that even with a 0.15s servo, it's still too twitchy around neutral for my liking.
But I'd say go for it, would have to give the same effect as on steering. I did previously use throttle expo, well brake actually, when I had a 0.08s servo. I found the throttle was ok but couldn't get any decent modulation of the brakes & it was essentially brakes on or off. But the brake expo definitely sorted that out. My engine doesn't have all that much torque at low revs so I guess that's why I never needed it for throttle.

You must be in Display Mode to change this setting, once in Display Mode, go to 'Set-Up' menu (on the 'F3' menu page), then change from 'SYSTEM' to 'MOD', make sure type is set to 'FH3' & 4 channels, then change the servo setting from 'NOR' to 'SHR'. Turn the Tx off the same way you turned it on, with the Display Mode switch.
Having said that, I also run a 5955/7955 & being as these servos are 0.18/0.15s servos, I really don't see it making much, if any, noticeable difference. Better to get a LiFe battery IMHO as you will get a guarenteed 10%+ increase in servo speed & torque, making it a 0.135s servo. Just a guess but I doubt changing from NOR to SHR would give as great an improvement but I could be wrong. Just that neither Airtronics nor anyone else has ever been able to quantify the actual increase in servo speed, to the best of my knowledge.
Maybe I'll change the settings & see if there is any difference that can be noticed. Or you do it & let us know what you find out nickdawg18.

You know, I've always thought the same thing, that if it really did or could make the servos actually move faster, why then don't they tell us exactly how much faster they go? If they were any faster, then surely that could be measured but I've never seen or heard any numbers along with the claim.
If faster servos are really needed, with the 0.06s servos out these days, they can always be purchased.

my friend bought all the stuff to make the steering response quicker , the 100 euros RX451r and a 200 euros servo set it into fast mode and it is still the same speed 

I have my M11x on NOR mode with the normal reciever and the Sanwa SDX 801 servo and it is perfect , i really dont want or need any more
