Picco to Serpent !!!!!!!

And Salven had some pretty impressive power at the LRP Nitro-TCM this weekend in Luxemburg. But also other Picco based engines, like our LRP
, where working well. But this is only about .12 engines...
Their new engines, which will be made by Picco, are going to be called just "Mega" as far as I heard and also they break up completely with Novarossi which means that there's no longer a line of NovaMega engines!

Guy's a few month's ago I was on the serpent web and the owner
was doing a serve about 1/8 scale price on motor and kit's
the vote was high on the motor a few voter's said the kit price
was just fine but the biggest part of the problem why people
are not running 1/8 scale is the price of the motor's are very high and that is one of the reason I think that they might go with Picco because the Picco motor's price is not that bad, but that is my opinion, they want more people to get into the 1/8 scale class to
keep the class going, where I race we had most of the guy's racing 1/8 scale class two year's ago and the same guy's are now racing 1/10 scale, the sale's on the 1/8 scale fell and serpent are noticing that so they are doing something about it by going with Picco but that is my opinion, but what is going to happen if Picco
and Serpent get this going the price is going to go up anyway because the the competition is stiff so they are going to but more time in the motor and that add to the price, so guy's you can look
at this many ways, happy racing.

The news is out and Serpent is teaming up with picco to produce engines for 30 to 50 % less of the price of the nova based engines. Finally a good step in producing engines which are affordable and are good performance wise I hope.

Alberto picco wil race with Serpent and the speed is sold to another company in Germany so Alberto can focus on developement of the new Mega line.

I think the prices of engines are artificially inflated, just boosting their profits. I dont think it cost more now to make an engine than it did before on the MT12 days. The technology is almost the same, and the more power from the NS12s is just better and more radical porting.

How long are you going to use for your engine ?
1 year , 2 years or 5 years..
To me, I will not repair engine if that engine broke > 2 times ...
There might be something wrong with the crankcase ...or ...
We might never know ...... I will rather spend money to buy a new one ..
Just an idea ..
