You have to be careful with those spacers. They will numb the front end if too many are used. Never more than 1mm total has been my experience.

It will affect the wheel rate. In overall it will soften the damping in front. Means it will feel as if you are using a slightly softer spring in front which should give a little more grip feel. Second thing is that the amount of suspension travel changes. Third the shock now has a more upright position which in comparison to a more inclined shock means that it is less progressive. Additionally the shaft speed will vary less with suspension travel. This will feel as if you use a shockpiston with slightly smaller holes.

I am using the inner mount too to have more amount of negative suspension travel and it works very well for me --> increased steering.

i m new to tc6. how do you tie the battery on chassis? also how do you guys build shocks such as shock length, rebound.

Battery: the stock brace + tape works very well. Some guys here use velcro.

Shocks: Rebound like it is mentioned in the setup sheets. The shock length was mentioned some pages ago and some 20-30 pages ago... just can't remember. Maybe you will find faster.

i go back from this page to 189 and only found 63.7mm shock length suggested by keven

Gentlemen, what is the smallest spur you have used on your tc6? I currently have a 66t and I am looking into my options.

69t is the smallest I've used (48 pitch, right?)

Wow a 66!!! ive never used anything smaller then an 88!!

Moving the upper mount has a less influence. Here it comes to what kind of setup you like. Having the front shocks upright and rear shocks inclined makes your car more responsive and agile in front while the rear will follow good. Having the front shocks inclined and the rear ones upright will give you understeer.

That is the theory, in the end you have to test it on track.


Got a 72t spur for 17,5t blinky installed and thought it is way small...

Any news on an Associated gear diff??..is it in the works or??
