drill yourself, on high bite you may or may not need the extra holes. instead of me trying to stock different apps is just simpler to drill them out as necessary.

keep in mind that these pistons are designed to be tuned, you will have to drill to match your conditions. dont expect to drop them in and press go! most are shipped with 1.1 comp and 1.2 rebound. we are finding that you can get away with much larger rebound and aux holes as well. Plan on spending a day at the track testing and tuning, as time goes on we will have setups on the site and within the next few days i will add a FAQ section and tuning tips along with some demonstration video clips!

Sounds great.

Will pistons be available to tune the sets?

yes once i can catch up on inventory i will sell just compression plates, rebound can be controlled via oil so you should have to change much if at all.

I drilled out my front compression piston holes to 1.15mm from the 1.0mm factory drilled holes and it did wonders for my front suspension. I was able to run 30 wt up front and it worked great. Before, I was running 22.5 wt oil (the lightest I had),and it was still too stiff on compression and was causing the front end to bounce. The rear worked perfect from the get-go. Drillbits cost me about a buck each. I bought 1.1, 1.15, 1.2, 1.3mm bits. It's pretty cool how tunable these pistons are. Thanks Marcus.

glad they are working for ya! your pistons had 1.1 compression to begin with, but its crazy how even .05mm makes such a dramatic difference isnt it? i got my 1/8 buggy finished and on the road today hitting the track tomorrow for some shakedown laps probably wont mess with it too much since the track im racing it on next weekend is soft and bumpy. im running 1.2 /10 hole comp , 1.3 /14hole rebound front and 1.3/10 hole, 1.4/14hole in the rear, 30wft 25wt rear. we will see how it goes!

Looks good Marcus! You will have to give us all your unedited review of the Caster EX1.5R. It is definitely a different animal that the 1/10. I think you will be pleasantly surprised by the most unknown and underrated car in the industry.

Got mine today!! They fit perfectly (as expected) on the Ve8 shocks. So far I only installed the fronts as I'm waiting for the 112mm rear shocks to arrive later this week. First impressions, stupid easy install (I know DUH) and the rebound is night and day quicker even using the same oil. I'm going to try these out hopefully this saturday and have a drive report then. I should also point out that the fit in the shock body was better with the RC Shox pistons than the stock ones. I can't wait to hit the track with these!!!

well the Caster pistons are .588" and yours are .598" very close (your hair is about .007), if you want to buy a custom set i can alter the program. only other info i need is the shaft diameter where the piston sits at.

Actually, I will probably be at Pegasus on Saturday and OCRC in Huntington Beach on Sunday. OCRC is having their big Surf City Classic Race at the end of the month.
