I think a lot of people don't go through the trouble of breaking them in, so they're pretty much toast after the first couple of runs. A proper built and broken in diff should last awhile.

I should have been more precise. I would like something that works good on all surfaces (Grass, street, dirt, etc.), you know, something that will work for messing around in the front yard and going in the street. I would think that holeshots would wear down really fast on concrete.

Yeah, they will be really nice slicks in no time. Maybe something like these?

I spend as much time breaking in my diff as I do rebuilding it. Done correclty and the diff should last a long time. I am just getting ready to rebuild mine after 3 to 4 months of racing. It is well due but still smooth enough to win races with.

Sounds like you got suggestions for bashers from others. If you are looking at running specifically on grass Schumacher makes the best tires. I've got mini spikes on the front and back of my B4 for running on my grass track in the back yard. Medium compound with medium inserts. Car is just about perfect (except for the driver).

Speaking of customer service. So I called AE, talked to Chris about my servo he said fax them the receipt and write bad servo on it. Did that last Wed. thought maybe I'll get the new servo a few weeks later. Wrong! got it 2 days later (With a return envelop for the bad servo). WOW!

I'm sick of getting hit from the SCTs at the track! Over the w/e at one time there were 15+ SCTs on the track and 1 buggy, guess who was driving the buggy...
The carbon fiber rear arm cracked from few viscious direct hits, I've decided to get the SCT and start dishing out the pain myself.
I know Losi TEN is a great truck, but decided to stay in the AE family and get a sc10 4x4. Question- what esc/motor combo do you guys recommend (I know this is prob. the wrong forum). Budget for the combo is around $300.
1. Tekin RS PRO 6.5T- This is a more of a buggie combo will it have enough torque for a 4x4? or should I get the ESC seperately and get the SC4x 550 5.0T instead?
2. LRP-
3. Castle-

Personally, I suggest the Tekin RX8 (no heat issues - even without the fan!!) I choose the LRP 5.5 550 motor, but there are a ton of options.. again, check out the thread above for tons of info...
