Not sure what kind. I talked to them over the phone. I thought they said something like Morgan something. Something like that so I think it would be purple but don't quote me on this.

first off, my engine is running great. the thing is when i take the head button off it is still *slightly* wet in some areas on the copper gasket. I have had it very wet all around and i found out that the engine head screws were a little loose. But these were not loose yet it still has a wet spot here and there. I always tighten my heads and all screws in a optimum pattern so it seats evenly all the way around. I like to relate it to tuning a drum if you will (have played for 15 years).

so is this normal? or do i need to look at other potential issues? Like i said the engine is a animal so the performance is great. But if fuel/oil can leak out, air and dirt can come in.

if the head was leaking the engine would run very poorly......it is possible tho that you may be slightly lifting the head at the extreme end of the RPM's tho LOL ......The mod B5 on the 2058 hits some pretty serious RPM !

I concur, Petey was Laying it DOWN on the front section on Sunday. That 2058 is an Animal in truggy.

Ran my B5 in my first race last night and I ended up qualified 4th and finished 2nd in truggy. Werks has a great performing motor here and anyone on the fence about this should not have any worries about buying this motor. I have it mated to a 2013 pipe and running Werks 30% and it runs great. A big thanks to Ryan Klemme for giving me a quick tuning also...Werks has great products, customer service and helpful team drivers.
THANKS

First race with the clocked b5 pro.... Amain win!

Ran pretty strong all day, had a chance to TQ but flamed out. Started fourth in the Amain, crossed the line first, and never looked back. This engine is a real screamer, awesome powerband. Strong throughout the whole range but smooth! Came off after the main at 217, could still be leaned a bit. Engine could outpull most of the motors out there, and at 1/2-3/4 throttle!

I did run into a problem (sort of):

When I would fire the engine up (from ambient) it would start a little rich, and return to idle well. However, after a few full speed passes, the engine would come in from full throttle with a high idle for a few seconds, and then come down to a normal idle. I tried richening, leaning, but nothing seemed to work. The engine ran fine that way, no problems with bottom end or flameouts, but it seams a little weird. Could it be the idle gap (too big, too large?)

from ambient temp the engine is not up to operating temps which is when you start making adj. on the carb....sounds like u may be a hair rich on bottom with too large of a idle gap but also depends on how high the idle is rigth away, my engines idle prb 500 rpms high for 1-2 seconds off a WOT pass but then has a nice idle after that all day long....

From my experience, the B5 does not like being started cold/ambient. The engine will run extremely rich (compared to other motors) until it warms up. Not a big deal. Warm it up for a minute with a heat gun, and you should be fine.

Does anyone know what gearing I should start with for a RC8T CE. I will be running the Werks 2013 pipe with the Werks Pro Light clutch kit. Also it will be ran on a short technical track. I'm looking for good start power and good top end.

Had one more question. Do you seal the motor before running it or run it out of the box. e.x. seal all needles with green slime and rtv gasket sealer around card and pinch bolt.
