Yes, if it's just a track it is hard to keep profitable. There needs to be some other angle. Hurstville stayed open for a while and was huge, but I don't think they were ever needing a profit from the racing. I think there was some negative gearing type thing going on or something to do with waiting for the building to gain value or something.

Of course, if the race track isn't your main business it might be possible, but you'd basically be subsidising it. One idea that might work is to have it as part of an indoor sports facility, with the carpet track fixed to a wooden surface that could be lowered or raised out of the way to turn the space into an indoor soccer court.

So what the story with this?

If it happens I'll buy another 1/12 (probably buy one anyway) and 100% run.

Good luck and fingers crossed.

Now what 1/12 to buy.....

I am driving the TOP Rebel at the moment so is Bradd Vercoe and he seems to be untouchable.
There are a few mods you will need to make but it is fast really planted especially in the rear.
Come down to Moorebank for a look this Sunday or next Sunday is the State Titles.

Hobby Habit, 144 Daws Road, Melrose Park SA.

Has in indoor carpet offroad (up to 1/8 scale) and on road tracks under cover (even has aircon!)

Just a random clip I found on youtube, gives you an idea of the track.
Stall jump has thankfully been removed, No good for a flowing lap.
