Thanks t0p_sh0tta,
Yea, it's a ball diff. It's not gritty yet, but I will take it apart and clean and lube it.
I'll have to try that with the hinge pins.

Thanks forwardonly,
I love WD40 and use it for all kinds of stuff, but I have been afraid to use it on my r/c car.

I use a tiny amount of wd-40 and a toothbrush ALL over my RC cars. I don't use it on the body, and never near the electronics, but on the arms, shocks, towers, body, gearbox, etc.... it cleans really really well, and makes everything jet black like brand new.

Thanks Cpt. America,
Is it ok to use on the shock shafts? Will it mess with the o-rings?

I see alot of guys are running novak 8.5s. But I noticed several different kinds. It it the havok combo? Trying to figure on a price range. Does anybody run tekin? Do 1/8 servos fit? And I have 2s 5000 30c packs. Those will fit? Sorry so many questions. Rather ask you guys then some bashers at hobbytown. They'll tell me to cram a 1/8 motor with a 6 cell lipo.

Iv never used it there... never really had to. but i change out my orings so frequently, that im not sure i would of noticed anything anyway. I would probably not use it on the shafts themselves.

depends on track but usually on the rear and front pods and in front of the tranny, again all depends on setup and track.

I have always ran the block that ae sells in front of the tranny as well as 1/4oz in each rear triangle. Possibly 1/2oz next to the receiver, depends on your electronics.

Same here. 1/2oz in front of the tranny, 1/4oz in each rear side pod and 1/4oz under the steering rack.

I run a lot of weight in my car. LiPo ballast weight in front of the tranny, 1/4oz in each of the rear triangles, 1/4oz next to my Rx(1/2 oz made it feel unbalanced), 1/4 oz in each of the front triangles, and a 1/4 oz in the nose of the car under the top plate.

Old old news. They dont even run that anymore. Most motors arent so left side heavy anymore.

I ran it for a while, it takes alot of shims and screws. Its not worth the effort.
