I haven't raced a spec/stock class in years but my rule of them even back then was that if it made your car faster, leave it on the car. That being said, I attempted to lighten the load any way I could. I even attempted removing the case for my receiver. Swiss cheesed a chassis as an experiment at one point too. Car was constantly full of dirt.

easy : nimh battery vs lipo 2400 is a weight loss of a few 100gramms
don't bother with the rest... (even 5900 lipo vs 2400 lipo is a significant weight loss)
that beiing said one of the fastest guys around our local track has a very heavy B44 and still manages fast laptimes...

I definately need to improve my technique and am looking forward to sme more practice. I've been shown the jump braking technique and will practice x 100.

I've got a B4 RTR kit I bought 5 years ago abd have added tekin RS and Redline 17.5.

I'm pretty sure the springs are black.

Do you recommend I buy the optional rear spring Associated Part # ASC1582
rebulid the rear shocks with 30wt oil and then experiment with different springs?

Is it worth going to the factory team shocks with the adjustable threads? I'm happy for any suggestions thanks
Hey mate,

you will need to check which piston and oil as well as the spring and ride height. The optimal spring and piston depends on many factors, but Id recommend green springs, #2 pistons and 25-30wt oil. Mount the springs to the inner hole on the arm and the tower, set ride height to ~24mm and you should be in the ballpark.

Good luck and have fun practicing your jumping technique!

Ray

I love my quick change setup. I'm running it front and rear. It makes it really easy to change tires during warmup if they don't feel just right

Are they a bit sloppier than the stock hubs? I've seen other's post that they are but there was not 100% agreement.

This is interesting. Look at the pic of the front spindle Of the SC10 RS. Its AE's version of the bearing in hub like prolines kit. If you look at the hex adapter it has SC molded in the hub. Is there a 2WD buggy version???

It just barely didn't fit under the stock body. I chose to trim the body.

Ray thanks heaps for the advice. The 27Mhz rtr just get too much interference and the trigger throw is too long compare to a Venom radio i got with a car i bought. i'm thinking about replacing it with the mt4.i'll run the radio on the stock B4 and Hot Bodies D4 stock too. i'll start working to the b4 and make tthe mods required. I've just a tekin rs for it today in the post.. thanks again.

Read back a few pages in this thread re discussion on Kyosho and Durango springs, apparently they are a bit more progressive so will help you out a little. I'll be trying out the ranga springs this weekend (weather permitting!) so will let you know how I go...

Jeremy
Hi Jeremy thanks for the response. I've pm'ed you.

What effect does going from 0degree rear hubs to 1degree hubs?
