Thinking about getting a revo???
#16
I had a Revo 3.3 e-conversion. It was a fun truck and handled well, however the drive train isnt very strong. also broke a few pins in the tranny. I moved to an xxl e-conversion and am much happier. If you already have an xxl and want something that handles different get a truggy, similar look as a revo and alot tougher. I got a eight-t for cheap and its great

shoot bro, if ya gonna spend that, id get a truggy 4wd 8eight with 454, since ya got monster truck already and rusty. then ya will have a car for all classes, and get into racing. since ya told me on phone ya want something new to try and not be doing samething all the time. the kit is nice, comes with starter box and all if ya get rtr kit. thought of trading my aft for 1. so i can bet into racing up at reo raceway in IN.

The revo is a fun rc, probably the best all around rc. I have had a revo 3.3, and now have an erevo. I like the erevo way more, and it is definitely faster (at least in acceleration).
Truggies can be better handling, but not nearly as fun. Seems like an odd statement, but it is true.
You might also consider an 1/8 buggy, they are lots of fun also, and very durable.

I'm the one that started the other thread and just got my Revo 3.3 in today. I race onroad electric so this is my first nitro and it looks pretty damn cool. Can't want to break it in. I did get a pull start and glo igniter on order to replace the ez start after break in. I will get other upgrades as needed. I'm probably not gonna race it but I will get it to the track to play on some non race days.
One thing about R/C is everyone has an opinion and some of them are stronger than others. You just have to weed through the BS and try to use the information to figure out whats best for you.
