I think I know what you are talking about. The part that gets glued to the rim right? Basically, try it out if it works then keep doing it Just try it with one set of tires and see how it goes. Just make sure you aren't cutting away too much of the tire when you do it!

Ewwwwwwww why save 5 dollars and get the epic version when you can spend the extra 5 and get FANTOM labeled on it? These new motors are pretty sweet though. Run waaaaaaaaaay cooler than the old motors and their KV ratings are SICK! You can get a 9.5 geared the same as an older 8.5 to run about the same speed. In stock the Duo3/Fantom Ion 3's are just dominating! Since they run so much cooler people are gearing the heck out of them.

That's what Ive been doing with my 13.5. I feel like I could add all the timing the motor has and boost with the speedo and the thing would STILL be cool.

Which 13.5 are you running? The Team Epic or the newer Orion? Unfortunately, there is no real 13.5 class around here Its either 17.5 or Mod.

Steering has a looooot of resistance on my B4.. Would it be overtightened or dirty? The screws by the bumper are stripped so I can't check it out yet but what do you guys think?

Ive been using a 4-40 x 7/8 cap head screw to pre-thread all the holes before final assembly. Your far less likely to ruin a tool or strip a screw head that way.

That and I always run longer 3/4 screws through the bumper to the top plate anyway, to help keep them from ever stripping out.

Sounds like your servo saver has loosened up a bit, and is causing the screw to bind on the bearings/bushings. Tighten your servo saver bolt slightly, I bet it will free right up.

I've got the Epic 13.5 in my buggy, and a brand new orion in its box. That's how it is where I race, so that's why I'm going to get an 8.5.

Thanks for the tip

So just switched from Mod to Stock because my local ST class died out... What would be a good gearing to start from for a 17.5?? I believe the class will be w/timing but my speedo doesn't have it so assume I'm timing the motor

Is the plastic from the t4.1 rtr to the ftt4.1 different?

Just wondering if I am buying replacement parts on ebay if it matters.

Thanks!
