How do you know for sure they were Kyosho springs? I'm not saying you're wrong, just wondering how you can tell.

Because it's a not so well kept secret that is what the AE guys are running Plus, look at the pic... an Associated brown spring would require much more preload for the correct ride height.

The B4.1 also uses the offset spring perches. The perch raises the bottom of the spring thereby reducing the amount of preload needed on the adjustment collar.

Brown springs with offset spring cup. Note where the collar is.

Got my springs ordered up! Thanks guys cant wait to try them.

My b4 is a new kit...still building. Im just getting back into this after a 15 year break. My first kit back...was a 22. Built it and ran it a bit but my buddy got a B4 and it just felt lighter on its feet and more nimble to me....so I sold it!

How do you all feel the B4 will compete with the 22? The AE stuff is proven equipment but the 22 is running well. I just liked the "feel" of the B4!
Please share your thoughts or experiences!

My understanding is they are more progressive and help reduce chassis slap. Also their diameter is slightly larger and will not rub against the shock bodies as the current AE springs will.

This was from a race in Japan before the B4.1 parts were available.

I'm using the durango springs on my B4.1FT. No rubbing on shockbody, no problems with ridehigh, and less preload. Just perfekt!

Does anyone still put old o-rings on the bottoms of their shock shafts to prevent chassis slap?

Default O-Ring

Not really , better to use thicker oil , heavier spring or add pack ...
