Please note that up-thread, I posted all of our CS information and suggest e-mailing tech support. If the problem is actually a defective esc, the solution may be something simple; if not, the technician will suggest returning the controller for replacement or exchange. Currently, all Havoc pros are replaced/exchanged with Havoc Pro SCs.
We have seen problems with the Havoc Pros related to transmitters used by customers and this may be one of them. Many times, using a better tx remedies the problem.

I have Pro SC with a 13.5 that I am trying to get the most out of. I have a hunch that at low RPM the motor doesn't like a lot of timing, but likes more at top end. I also hate that when I had it tuned normally, meaning setting both timing settings to about 4, it had a point in the RPM where it seemed like a turbo button had been punched, instead of being linear and predictable. To solve this, on the motor endbell it has markings of 15-30-45 degrees, I have dialed it all the way back to just a bit past the 15, 13 i guess it would be set to, and turned up the dynamic timing to its full potential on both settings, cut-in RPM and total advance, and that made the power response nice and predictable with superior punch for squirting over doubles in my RC10 T4 at a 26-82 gearing. Temps is about 135 degrees, which is warmer than it was before, but still okay. Does anybody actually know what the timing advance curve in the speed control is? Linear? Exponential? Stepped? I want to make sure that I'm not over-timing it at any point in its RPM because that just makes heat and not power. kinda nit-picky and technical but if anybody knows I would appreciate it.

Just picked up the Havoc Pro SC with a 17.5 stock motor. My question is, can I run this speedo fanless? I only run stock class with the 17.5 no advanced timing on a 2s lipo. I run this in a 2wd SC10 SCT.
Thanks for any info.

Pay attention to your temps and this should be OK.

You'll have no heat issues with a 17.5 and no boost

You should have no problems with the updated combo's that come with the SS motor. I'm sure Novak fixed any issues by the time they paired them with the SS motor.

We have been selling this combo for a couple of years---it features our budget, Havoc 2S esc. These escs are all based on different esc designs. We discontinued the Havoc Pro last year and replaced it with our new (racing version) Havoc Pro SC---with new programming features and on-board timing adjustments.

Just picked up a novak havoc pro ESC and 6.5 ballistic combo. I am having issues with it. It is acting like it has a bad sensor wire or motor sensor. I have tried different wires and different motors. The problem seems to follow the ESC. I have also used a different ESC with the provided motor and the motor runs fine. So as far as I can tell the issue is with the ESC.
Upon first programming the ESC. I had a hard timing doing the one button programming. It just didn't seem to program. I have to attempt at it several times. Eventually, it does program.
So once programmed. Sometimes the car moves, sometimes it doesn't. Sometime giving it a push start works, sometimes it doesn't. If I keep it moving, it is fine. But once it comes to a stop, it might not move again. Sometimes it cogs.
When you turn it on, the amber and red leds blink a few times. Then the blue, amber, and red leds stay solid. When you hit a little break, only the amber light stays on, red goes off, and blue goes dim. At full break, blue, amber, and red blinks. At partial throttle, red goes off, blue and amber stay on. At full throttle, blue, amber, and green go solid. After a few seconds, blue and green blink and amber stays solid. After a few seconds of holding full throttle, amber and red blink. Then it cycles the previous full throttle leds.
I'm new to novak ESC's. I'm trying to give as much info and be as specific as possible. Any help would be great.
Also, when it does work, it has no where near the power of my other ESC's. Tekin RS and LRP SPX. Both were set to have no timing.

I'm having 100% the exact same problem with my one day old havoc pro sc and 4.5T combo (mike truhe edition). Did you ever get it figured out?
