Having tested the 518, 119 and 211 FW versions Back to back today i now have all my speedies updated to the 211 as its simply awesome. The off power feel is great with the transition from throttle to brakes almost instant and with such a nice feel now i have had to dial out even more brakes than before. I tried some linear throttle settings with no turbo and all boost but could not quite achieve the top speed i was looking for without unwanted temps. We now have around 6 drivers all pushing this FW to the max as our 17.5 boosted class has become very competitive. All different kinds of motors Like Duo 2/3 and Novak ballistic all running around the same speeds and the 75c mark at 5 minutes which is great IMO.

Settings after today as follows

Large track 2 tight technical sections and 2 large straights
Duo 2 17.5, 1 extra mark of timing
FDR 5.9
DRRS 2
Boost 46
start rpm 4000
Turbo 20
delay 0.1
Turbo slope 24
timing acc 350

Angelo, you are the one must stay here.
Don't be sad of those unfriendly words. Be a strong man like the time we are in Bangkok. Also please forgive us for the low english language skill.

I have tried like 5 times to get 211 onto my HW. I even went to uninstall the old versions before hand. Didnt need to updated the 2in1 as I have had 119 working no probs.

First off I got 211 direct off cobra when he was emailing them out, followed his instructions. Copied the new files, and written over the old 2 files. Still no 211.

2nd, have downloaded from the link above. Still cannot see the 64 steps, only 60........

what am I doing wrong?

Angelo, I'm currently awaiting my ESC and motor to arrive. Your advice and knowledge in this thread was one of the main reasons I decided to go with Hobbywing for my next combo. Let the Haters hate man

desktop able to upgrade from 162 to 163.

laptop has 162 now, wizard update finds latest software, click 'update', says 'update fail'.

any idea? It's not too important as I do have 211 in my HW, but I would rather have the ability to update from my laptop.

update.........never mind, on vista I 'ran as admin' and now both comps are in business

Angelo !! bud take what teh guys says with a pinch of salt.
Biggest hassle is we deal with guys that dont speak english as a first language and others that are not techically inclined. There is bound to be some confusion and debate.

I have been using HW/SP esc's from the first SP ones released years ago and have experienced what you going through.
Your help has and is appreciated

I noticed the very few setups on 119/211 that not many people max out the timing boost, compared to the tekin I almost always use max timing or around 50.

might take a while to figure out the best timing/turbo ratio to use. I ran 119 tonight around 40 boost/20 turbo and I had the quickest car, just the driver was mental.

If too high it can make uneccessary heat if you a on/off type driver.

When I needed help with my SP, I posted in many threads looking for some advise. Even sponsored drivers did not even bother replying to my posts. Angelo was one of a few that took the time to reply and walk me through the set up steps. He even went as far as e mailing me and staying in contact with until my issues had been taken care of. Needles to say.... if not for Angelo and those like him, the ''average Joe'' racer would be lost in a sea of words that make no sense. Thanks Angelo, and pay no mind to those who bring you down. Our hobby is still the best place to meet the nicest people ,and that's what makes it great.Pete Yasou bro
