Yes that was the punt that put Simmo from 3rd to out of the race. The annoying thing to watch was a few racers who did punt (whether by accident or not) not addressing the situation as opposed to Reinhard when he accidentally clipped Hara and then stopped and bumped Haras car back onto its wheels and then waited for him to go

I wonder if simon had peeled a tire or something in that previous lap?

Locally, we're starting to get into 12th scale so if there's a class for that next year, I'll surely join! Also, it should make for less overweight charges at the airport!

Cannon, what main did you run the finals in? I was in main D of FF, finished 2nd. Unfortunately, didn't get the chance to meet you. We (Team Philippines) were seated right behind the TRF drivers.

Also regarding suggestions for next year, my biggest complaint was due to many no shows, there were many heats run with only 1 or 2 racers. I think it was like this until they reseeded on Saturday. Reseeding should have happened after day 1. A lot of time could have been saved by initially making the seeding based on controlled practice and paid entries, and latecomers who arrive for Q1 in new heats.
Other than that the event was very well run with the schedule being strictly followed to the minute. Was very impressed with the logistics, except for one incident when I crashed and a marshal (he was wearing organizers shirt sitting in scrutineer area) walked towards my car in the middle of the track and just stood there and looked at it. Another marshal (the head scrutineer) had to run into the track to flip my car over. To tell you honestly, I was pretty pissed at that incident since my run should have hit almost 18 laps in FF if not for that incident. I think I lost around 15 seconds because of that. I can imagine a briefing of all track officials and volunteers would have helped.
Looking forward to 11.5 again and 1/12th next year!!!

You can up the resolution of the vid to 480p
too bad the dicing ended quickly - that part was very exciting to watch as the midfield action died quickly after that accident.

Yes marshalling was not good. In one qualifier my TC was punted into the pit lane upside down only to see the marshall pick it up and walk under the drivers stand with me screaming at him to bring it back

I was scheduled to run in your FF final but couldn't be bothered by that stage. After two weeks of driving I had had enough. Also my ESC and motor combo seemed slow so it was not worth the effort. The first 4 qualifiers let me down ... couldn't achieve rear grip. The last two qualifiers Jilles gave me a new traction compound and my car worked very well. If I had a few more of those runs I could possibly been high C or low B final. Oh well that is racing.
only had 1 or 2 good runs until the car settled, but still wasn't good enough because had to be conscious of the car going on 2 wheels especially in the sweepers!

A mild mannered creature in his natural habitat of an air conditioned pit area. I for one can find no problem with Justin's attire. He was comfortable and in his happy place............Simon and Ant, mmmmmm not so much.
You go you good thing JV you are my hero you should have driven your heats/finals in your "Race Suit"

Badman
That is one massive publicity stunt for me to trump next year.
