Chris,
Don't look to bad from here. I'll have better prospective of things once in my hands inspected with loupe. Again, Just be sure crank pin is not worn 0.003" or more ,high + low mic reading. Send cran with P+S set I will inspect for you if need me to.
Back to work. Busy day.
Kind regards,
Ray

Default late start today

Late start today. Shops warm now with packages on bench.
Donnie, You thre me off with Codys name on package. Your Plus 4 C is the 1st to be completed. Damage from clip not as bad with small damage not in creitical area. Liner honed well , with small damage blended in very well. Along with small area on piston below wrist pin allso repair blended in nice and I am confident there will be no material lifting charactoristics to interfear with future performance. Came out very nice I feel.

Tim, The B5 had liner surace finish issues , where as the the B6 did not. Keep me posted.I'm always interested in performance feedback as the gallons burn....Good luck at the races guys.
Back to work.
Kind regards,
Ray

I figured you could fix it. Sorry about "Cody" on the package. I asked the guy at the post office to cover that up so no one would be confused. Should have known better. New package next time.

Ray i measured the crank pin and it's at around that 0,003 mark.
How much use can i get out of this?
Is it worth it?

Also i noticed you repair pistons as well...how do you do this?
Mine has a relatively deep scar on it which seams "unrepairable"!!

Default v-spec

Chris,
The deep piston scratch is a crap shoot,a bet I wouldn't put my money on. The crank pin is NOW at its limits. The decision maker, Let it go. Save your bearings and conrod for spare parts. Only if the crank pin was worn half that, and the replacement piston with good surface finish condition, your situation as it sounds now I would not recomend rebuilding. I repeatedly suggested for you to measure your pin because I knew with a little assistance you would make the right choice here, and appreciate the choice made.
Good luck.
I'm here again when you need me.
Kind regards,
Ray

Regarding the piston...that's not the one for the engine...i have another one for the engine but the sleeve needs a pinch to get good compression.

Regarding the crank pin(the engine has only donw 3-4 gallons or so) can it go that soon??

The engine was running fine before the pin let go.

I was thinking in trying out the pinch service since it's my first engine to be send out for this and run it until it ends!!!

I did install new bearings because of the chips from the pin but on second thought on the rod i'll use a used one i have since i didn't notice and difference from installing the new one.

I think i'll send you the set with the crank and you can give me a your thoughts on it.

It won't cost much...if i's not worth it then i'll have only the shipping costs!!!

Tim,
Your B5 arrived and serviced today and will electronic ship Sunday. Set had no surface finish issues,But you will still see improvement fallowing my services.
Tyrone's package will go out tomorrow also.
Eric came in yesturday and shipped this morning. Another order with no issues to speak of. Bobs package a different story. The GO B21 took a little work honing light liner scratches, BUT no sweat on that set realy. On the other hand the Werks TL21 B3 both piston + Liner scratched enough so as normally I'ed have just skipped it , As Bob expected, but due to the chalange I honed and polish untill after the cows came home. LOL Not as good as my norm , although she will run strong again I feel. Hangin the invoice with hopes an email/call/text from Bob with performance feedback specificly on the B3.
Just be hangin around the shop workin on my own stuff tomorrow.
Call text or email me with any questions guys.
Kind regards,

Ray
