Anyone know if there is a replacement gear available for the M05 ball diff?

No, I want a replacement for the carrier gear that comes with the M05 ball diff kit. I would hope that you don't have to buy a whole new ball diff kit when the gear wears out...

You have to purchase a new gear diff, or get a manta ray rebuild kit. That should work, just the main spur gear is wider.

Some guy's do use a solid/spool in there mini's. These can be made by CVA gluing a bevel gear diff or using a aftermarket replacement. If you run TCS they are not legal as far as I am aware.

Disadvantage is the car is harder to drive consistantly and adds more wear to the drive train. You also lose some steering.

Don, you're a little brief on the info. 2WD is for Tamiya Minis????? Or are you allowing the Xevo, HPI, and the ABC cars???? I'm assuming Tuesday nites and West Coast.

Frankly Don, I'd prefer Tamiya only for the 2WD Mini class and pretty much TCS type rules. Stock Silvercan motors. It would make life a lot simpler.

I've got an Xevo so I can race either way, just prefer Tamiya Minis.

Sorry couldn't find just the gear part for the m05 ball diff for you. Looks like for now it's buying the whole thing just to get the gear.

Darn! They've used the bigger bearings. How am I supposed to fit that in my M-03?

From the pic it looks like the 2 case halves are screwed together and the gear with the square hole is slipped onto the square peg on one of the cases. Is the gear loose? Held in place just by the bearing? Hmmmm.
