Tamiya mini cooper
I like the Avid RC bearing with the rubber seal on one side and the metal on the other. I pull the rubber seal and throw them in a jar of brake kleen for a day or so.
After I pull them out and dry them, I use a single drop of motor oil, in this case Mobil 1 0W40.
Run the non sealed side on the inside and they'll last a long time.

Put an 8.5 turn hobby wing brushless motor in my mini. Gens ace 4000 mah lipos. It was ALOT of fun until I stripped something. God was it fast. I'm hoping it's just the pinion so i dont have to take the whole car apart to get to the diff.

sorry, but i think you're gonna have to open up the chassis
I use to take the time to piss with taking the seals out of bearings or putting them in a bearing blaster to blow the grease out and relube them with lighter oil but in all honesty it's a waste of time not to mention the seals are fragile and you generally won't get them back in without biding the bearing anyway. Seriously just take the car out and put it down on the track and run it, the bearings will free up quickly. I don't clean bearings either, I order all my bearings from Avid, when they get gritty I pitch em, they're a buck. If bearings do need relubed I use drywax products like these.

Like most everyone on this forum. I spend a lot of time messin' on my toy cars. Trying to be competitive requires dedication. I haven't taken any four-wheeled toys to bed in a long time, but y'all know what I mean. Spending time messaging bearings is one of the least productive projects you'll tackle!
Every possible tweak you can think of, I've tried. When a bearing gets "crunchy", toss it. At a buck each, new bearings are the only way to go

I would say the most essential hop ups are better axles, shorter springs and good tires.
Everything else is just shiny.
m04 and m06 are rwd, much harder to drive

i have both M03 and M05 , after 1st having problems with the M05 i have worked hard on it and now it is AS quick as the M03s in the club ,
I love it and it is more prodictable then the M03 and more consistant
all though no quicker , i like it more
and as for mantinance i can strip the gearbox and rebuild it as quick as i could with my M03 so there is no time worries there
M05 for those who like to tinker M03 fo those who like to build and drive

Hi, I'm working on my mini. It is currently 225mm wheelbase, but I'm going to shrink it to 210mm. I need a body-suggestions? Obviously something with a "nose". Wt. is 1330 grams, width(trac) is 167mm. The weight is not completely set as it's going to get a new chassis out of .125 G10 versus .093(to much flex) and a 2s lipo. Thanks, Don
