Freakin awesome.

Not for me, and evidently not for you guys, But I can imagine millions of kids going nuts for these.

And kids are way to busy having fun to be anal about independent suspension, 2WD and scale.

Traxxas is a marketing machine! No doubt about it, they know how to sell more than anything else.

not a bad idea by traxxas and i understand their thinking, but, as a long time traxxas and losi fan i can think of multiple things id rather see traxxas do than rebody a 10+ year old r/c. i personally dont think we will ever see a 1/8th scale traxxas r/c. not as long as they keep selling a ton of their current model line-up as it is. i would really like to see them add some accessories to their current models like maybe a faster brushless motor, decent springs with decent spring rates and correct lengths so you can actualy use SOME of the spacers ect. ect. ect. i know they will never be able to compete with the likes of castle creations, proline and so on in the variety and options but, some of their accessory line up at this time just does'nt make sense.

The best MT copy would have to be on a chassis like the Kyosho Mad Force. These are very cool if you are 6-12 but I think big boys would want more scale like features.

Traxxas marketing model isnt competition racing, its producing fun, inexpensive r/c products. They are going where the money is, Monster Jam!!!

Traxxas should be happy about all the negative response on this forum because every time this forum is negative about a new traxxas product, the same traxxas product goes through the roof in sales. I'm just saying!

.
The young ones will eat these things up...Adults like us look at it and laugh...
All they are a 2wd stampedes dressed up...nothing more, but I know they
will sell well because traxxas likes to market for younger audiences.
They probably chose a simple stampede platform so NOOBs wouldnt
have trouble finding parts.

Yep and this is just proof that RC snobs and haters are idiots who really know nothing about the hobby and they are better off shutting up and sticking to their day job!

The rest of us can see the appeal in other RC cars even if it's not something we like.

I saw the grave digger at the hobby shop and it looked so damn cool. If it had the red lights in the front that could light up, I would have got one to just go on the shelf. I need the $200 bucks to get ready for the 1/8th scale outdoor season.

This is my first post on this forum but I had to jump in. I got the Grave Digger for my 6 y/o son and he thinks it's the best thing on the planet right now. I have to admit, it does look pretty damn cool though. I won't hijack this thread, so I'll post some pictures and videos of it in action on a seperate thread.
