Guys, please be cautious on what your doing with the head shims. Not all motors are 100% identical to each other from what I have seen. There is tolerances in shimming.

The B5's on average that I have prepped for Neal to modify are coming with approx. .88 to 1.00mm total shimming and not all silver shims are .29mm. I have seen a few that had x1 .30 silver shim and another .14 silver shim. The brass shims are averaging .13 to .19 from the ones I've seen.

Just don't want to see anyone doing more harm than good if you are not 100% sure of what your messing with.

Sounds good Scotty, just wanted to point out the differences in shim thickness's I've noticed and that not all silvers were .30mm

I know he pulled a .13 shim out of the B6 and dyno'd it with decent increase but I can't find the chart. I'll see if Neal's got it.

I'm Bustin out the JL for my next race. Its a small track so I wont have to worry about run times. Be nice to race with my Favorite engine again. I have not ran it for 3 months. Gonna be out all Friday night (1/7) getting her tuned in and ready to rip with a switch to my fuel ( S&W Trophy blend )
Man I have not raced in so long its actually been painful.

Either that or Byrons, you can choose. If there's something else you want the local shops have all the popular choices

Dont forget you can also ship me whatever fuel you wish to use. If you send quarts there's no Hazmat fees

I ran a gallon of S&W a year or so back and it ran great so if you need to run it, it should do you just fine.

I got to break in my JPX today and finish loosening up my B5 also. These little devils are going to be wicked. Great job Neal!

Nick, you might as well get the straight skinny on trophy blend. Decision making is easy once you gather the facts!
