Was I satisfied to begin with? Yes. Did I race for about a month with it? Yes. Is it comparable to the sensored aftermarket motors/esc? No. I consider myself pretty smooth on the throttle and it was still very punchy. Plenty of power for a "13.5" but no control in my opinion. I upgraded to a LRP/Ballistic combo and immediately noticed a difference.

If you plan on racing GET THE FT and buy good electronics for it. Trust me, don't go the other route like I did you'll end up paying wayyy more than you have to. FT has the v2 shocks which are great, and a ball diff (and much more of course). I didn't realize initially how much of a difference the ball diff was but that was as much as an improvement as the electronics!

Here’s my newly built B4.1 (just finished last night), it's my re-entry into RC racing after a fifteen year hiatus.

What did you use for the rims? The black looks sick!

A new sharp pair of Dynamite curved lexan scissors. Then clean up the cuts with a sanding drum on a Dremel. I do the shock cutouts on the wing purely with the Dremel sanding drum.

Thanks

I dyed the wheels with black Rit clothes dye (in powder form). All I can say on the wing is use good scissors (curved & straight), dremel and a little patients.

Insrtuctions...

Yes, the stock AE FT yellow wheels. I also did some yellow Jconcept's that came out really good.

Wow, learned something new. I thought you could only die white wheels, not ones that were already yellow.

I am thinking about getting the B4.1 FT kit. What is the best servo for this kit? I have a D1015 in my SC10 and a JR 9100S in my Jammin SCRT10 and I have never had a 10th scale buggy. I would not expect that this kit would need a lot of torque but I would like to stay below 0.10 sec/60deg at 6.0v.

Thanks.
