Where does the notion that Losi's aren't durable come from? I've been back and forth between AE and Losi over the years. The steering always drew me to AE, the build quality always brought me back to Losi.

I'm not sure I understand the "Durango-esque" comments.

Sure, it has similarities to the DEX410 but so do about 4 dozen 1/8th gas buggies, too.

It looks a bit like the 2wd prototype Durango is working on, but if the Losi is on the market first, isn't the Durango a Losi copy? As long as cars usually take to prototype, test, develop and manufacture, I would guess this car has been under wraps as long or longer than the Durangle DEX210 has been around. And THAT hasn't been around that long, as I have the last B4 Durango chassis that they made, and it isn't that old.

Someone will always have something to complain about, it's not only human nature but utterly rampant in R/C racing.

Though, it IS fun to read some of the Associated fanboy posts on various forums announcing that the the B5 is going to be so great that people will already be wanting to sell the 22. At least you guys provide cheap entertainment.

Thumbs up

Oh, and for fun (and to show my age), I figured the "22" deserves some old school history lessons... too bad they couldn't have brought back the 5-link.

it's cool it seems losi it starting to take the seriousness back into racing.. This is a for sure out of the box design for losi. I applaud them for that! I am happy to see an american company target euro drivers with the mid motor design. I know foreign companies like schu and durango is hitting the US hard with their cougar sv and 410 buggies respectively. Losi is thinking bigger and wider audience... that's a big thumbs up! Im sure associated will have to follow. I know they came with their new b4.1. But it's the same ole same! The losi 22 was designed from the ground up!

Car was mainly tested on a loose outdoor track and they never had issues with the rack. Our local track here is indoor clay, so the cars really don't get dirty. It turns very good too, real smooth turning and you don't have to use the brakes to get the car to rotate around the tight 180's like the XXX.

Ah, the old 5-link. If that rear suspension were released today it would be revolutionary. I ran mine long after the JRX-Pro was out (though I did get one of those too). Once tires got better it was just too much rear grip to get steering out of. Would be neat to revisit (by someone who knows what they're doing, not me). That car ROCKED on rougher outdoor tracks.

+ Infinity. I wish there was a way to tag some accounts with a pop-up question box that asks "Did you read to make sure your question wasn't already answered?" When they click submit.
