This is the rod that I run in both my .21 cobra evo X1 and my .25 cobra with no problems. The X2 has the same stroke as the X1 so I would think that it would use the same rod. Novarossi R7 rod nvr07009

GOOD BUY ALOT OF BANG FOR THE BUCK
I HAVE RAN THE SPORT IT IS A GREAT RTR REPLACEMENT ENGINE TO MID LEVEL RACING ENGINE
TEMPS IN THE HIGH 260 - 280'S ABOUT 8 TO 10 MIN RUN TIME WITH A GOOD TUNE AND ALOT OF FUEL TUBING
I SUGGEST A JP2 OR JP3 PIPE
GOOD TORQUE/LOW END LACKS A LITTLE ON THE MID TO TOP
KEEPS PACE WITH MOST ENGINES OUT THERE
"GREAT SMALL TRACK ENGINE"
MAKE SHURE TO CHECK ON GOOD BREAK IN METHODS "DONT RUSH AND USE HEAT" AND THIS SPORT ENGINE WILL MAKE YOU GRIN EAR TO EAR

I have been in RC for many years, a newbie to RC Tech.net. I can tell you that all engines seem to have a some sort of problem. Some break conrods, some blow out bearings and some lose sleeve pinch fast, but the thing that I think is important is a company that stands behind their product.
I have an Axe Rossi Mamba X1 and a Cobra X2. The Mamba popped the conrod right at one gallon on the second race tune and blew the engine completely. It wipped out everything but the carb and head. I contacted Chris Crews aka thenova70ss on here and he phoned me and spent over an hour on the phone with me telling how to handle the warranty on the engine. He then put me in touch with Shaka G. of Axe Rossi USA.
Long story short, Chris is the "go to guy" on Axe Rossi engines. He is the company sponsored driver and he really knows his stuff when it comes to racing engines. Rossi sent me a new engine with my head and carb at no cost at all.
I think Axe Rossi will work through these conrod problems soon and I find it great to find an engine company that builds racing engines and puts a zero cost warranty on them (no shipping costs either). There are many companies that claim to have warranties, but when you send the engine in for repairs, they hold it hostage for payment...not the case with Axe Rossi.
Thanks for the expert help Chris and Shaka. It's really good to find customer support in today's marketplace. DJ

My story is different. I blew up a Mamba. I couldn't get the piston/sleeve/connecting rod out of the engine. after about hmm, I forget now, Not a lot of fuel, the engine seized up. Connecting rod is fine, but, Piston/Sleeve are gone.
I didn't know about the warranty of the engine as most companies don't have one. I tried everything (But of course calling) Last resort, I milled the cleeve out of the block. It took 2 hours. I basically moved in 2 thousands of an inch every time I made a cut and then check the work. Not 1 nick or scratch was made on the block. Sleeve finally came out. Purchased a rebuild kit, but, the new sleeve would not go into the block. I talked to Chris and same thing.
A go to guy... Unfortunately for me, I didn't get anything (wasn't expecting anything either) because of my attempt to remove the sleeve. I didn't destroy anything while trying to remove the p/s. Oh well, you win some, you loose some. Next time, if I purchase another Rossi engine, I will not do what I do and I will contact him.
BTW - Chris if you are out there, any news on a New Black Magic II with an updated alien head??? Put me on the list for one. Just kidding (Well, if you tell me on is coming for real, you can really put me on the list))
LOL

It all so dose a 3 step Pinch so we can get just the right Pinch unlike some other pinching tools out there that do just a One step pinch witch can get the pinch to tight.

I am looking at these two engines for my MBX-6T for next year.
Axe Rossi Cobra .25
Axe Rossi Cobra X2
What would be the pros and con’s of each?
I ran s modified gx-7r Last year I have a light trigger finger not one to keep hitting on and off through the turns.
I have seen how well the other engines run but like to go with an AXE engine. Not sure about having it modified yet.
Any Info would be great, Thanks.
