Default Steering pot trouble

Hi all,
Figured out a way to get the steering pot to come good again.
All it needed was a little pressure on it. So I basically took the wheel off and the cover, put a couple of shims on top of the bearing, put it all back together again. FIXED!

Some more space would be great for carrying my sons Spektrum DX3S transmitter you see, or my LIPO charger/glow igniters etc.

Any thoughts?
Nevermind! I did a little digging around the Futaba website, the double transmitter case is actually deceptively small. So I went with the official Futaba 3PK case. Very nice! And with some carefull cutting of the foam innards, you can fit quite a few extra items....

Just thought I'd post a few pics, incase anyone else is interested in using a 3PK case as pit box!

No space for my fuel though. Heh heh!

I think you have to perform "model reset" to each model memory. Not exactly what you want to do but it should center all trims and default to out of the box state.

Default 3PK locked???

When I turn on my 3PK, no beep and buttons are locked except the trim & function dial wheels. All other buttons are locked. Transmit indicator = "RF".

Any ideas on what's going on?

Thx

small switch on the side of the radio....Its a Display mode where you can turn on the radio but not broadcast a Signal. So if your in the pits and need to check something on the radio or make a minor adjustment you can without fear of effecting some one else channel.(2.4Ghz essentially eliminated this)

Thanks. The "Display" switch doesn't appear to be doing anything. Same radio behaviour irrespective of switch position.

No other companies rcvrs will work. I've had good results buying these used and saving a lot of money.

You've got some options if you want to go with HobbyKing knockoff, but I stay with the real Futaba stuff.

Default Angle wheel adapter?

I have searched this thread and others have asked the same question, but I haven't seen anyone answer. I saw a 3pk with a dropdown and an angle wheel mount and I want to know where I can get the angle mount?
Thanks for any help.
