BUILT MY OWN ,

FROM SCRATCH , JUST TO SAY I COULD, HAS COST ME $25.00 TOTAL.
SOME PARTS OLD SPARES, FUEL TANK WAS DONATED. WOULD HAVE BEEN $15.00 IF SALESMAN HAD NOT SOLD ME THE WRONG PROP ADAPTER, WHICH I HAVE NOT RETURNED... excited about using it. using a 3/4 deep socket on a drill , got robber insert from hardware store and drilled it to a tapered shape to match prop. cone.

BRAND NEW : "JL .21 PRO" ON THE BENCH.

good if you can mount to a bench that dont vibrate much. also needs a larger prop. you dont need a drill or plane starter. just use your finger.

platform is a scrap piece of 1/4 inch thick aluminum, 14' square. Pretty flat with soft rubber foot pads at all four corners. doubt that it will budge but if it does, ill just break out the small c-clamps and secure it.

You'll want to clamp it down when running, It WILL vibrate around on the table. And IMO you dont need a bigger prop, the Hudy/Nanda/RD logics props are very similar in size....As long as the motor cant spool the prop SUPER easily you'll be fine. Not too sure what "pitch" the standard Bench prop is But it looks to be close to what you got there.

Awesome, where did you get the surround for the prop? I might just give it a try if i can find the right parts.

The prop that comes with the Hudy is marked 240-17. It has been cut down to 120 mm.

You can buy the RD Logics break-in bench parts
(prop, adapter, nut, cowl) separately. Here is a link
to the parts:http://www.rdlogics.com/cgi-bin/cate...tegory=Engines

Sorry about late responses to earlier questions,

the prop and adapter came from hobby-town. just make sure prop. adapter fits a 5 mm. shaft and has a nose-cone for a nut.

prop. : approx $3.00

prop adapter : approx $8.00

the fan guard is from the ends used to ship rolls of laminates.

I can get those all day long. anyone wanna tackle a cool project like this and need the fan guard, let me know.
