Default hello on road

Hello to on road. I'm really new to this. I wanted to try something completely different than electric 1/10 2wheel drive off road. So I got myself a brand new Ofna Ultra GTP-2 nitro. It's the first 'new' rc I've gotten for myself since my Super Champ!
Anyways I'm looking for people to hang with and learn from.

Lots of fun at CORRC tonight. Thanks to Mario for the rent-a-ride (and wrench) in 1/12. That car would be dangerous if I could keep it locked in for 8 minutes.

Here's the results: http://corrc.org/results/576/tuesday/october-19th-2010/

@RacerRuss,
Actually, I've had a few RC10's between then and now. Including the original gold pan. Constantly cleaning them gets old quick. I got an onroad because there's a lot more pavement in Denver than there are maintained off road tracks. I still have the Super Champ(except the bodies are trashed) with the original box it came in.
Speaking of vintage, I replaced the rtr radio that came with the GTP2 with my Magnum Senior. The rtr radio is very 'el-cheapo' and looks like it should go with a Radio Shack toy. The GTP2 is a lot of fun, however my only complaint is the brakes. They seem way underpowered for an 8lb object going that fast. I am using the rtr servos as they have Futaba plugs(I just swapped out the receivers to use my Senior). It's a single vented steel disc with blue pads on the calliper plates.

Well glad to hear of another vintage racer I myself have come full circle started with a Bandito Then purchased a RC10 gold tub (back in '84/85'), found carpet/asphalt racing did that for 10 or 15 years, and now I'm back to racing offroad from 1/8th Nitro to electric SC. Glad to hear your getting back into racing, enjoy.

See you at the track
