The Xpe is made by Alpha, similar to the z852 green head.

Thanks Rex! Which makes the dynamite a great engine! If you say dynamite sucks better say Alpha sucks to which meant lets see here hmm Lutz has a crappy engine sponsor. I think NOT! FANBOYS have no clue what your saying, the xpe is a whole new animal from the old dynamite line. So

Ok, just was on alpha's site since the block reminded me of something familiar. I saw a red head alpha run like crazy in a buggy on a short track. They're fast. However, we run on a pretty big track and my friends new B6 with a OS 2050 pipe was by far the fastest buggy there that day and some pretty fast guys run at lost creek. It was considerably faster than my speed. Both engines have been etched in my memory. I had never liked nor disliked either brand. Just an observation. Here's a fact, the clockworks B5 i just got trumps anything i've seen run or driven. Truth. But that's another story.

alright lets all be real, we all like our own brand(s)...thats why I HATE these threads to begin with always turns into a pissing match. from the looks of it thats what the OP was looking for as he only wanted a "basher" motor, why not look into the mach2 .21 I think its like $120.00?!? I was running speeds prior to my werks, and JS prior to my speeds, and novarossi prior to my JS etc etc etc...so far I have liked my STOCK B5 and B6 over anyother engine I have ran. last weekend at a race all our truggies were on pit lane waiting to go out (were having a computer issue so we had to wait a min) everyone was reving there trucks up so they wouldnt "load up and flameout" mine was just sitting there idleing my pit guy yelled up to me and said did u flameout? I just smiled and gave it a quick blip so he knew it was running as he couldnt hear it over everyones engines reving to the moon, he just shook his head in amazment with a thumbs up.

just like rex is going to talk up the dyn. cuz he likes alpha, and jay will talk up o.s cuz he likes o.s I will talk up werks cuz I like my werks lol

Its a great engine for the price!

That's what I love about my Werks engines lol. They will idle forever. My pitman does the same.He keeps looking up to tell me to keep it cleaned out. I don't need to because it loves staying running lol.

I still like the O.S. engines and all the other good running top of the line engines. My preference is just Werks.
