I may have to switch to my GRP tuned .28 as I cannot get my reedy .21 enough ummpff to get up over a few jumps well enough. We have lots of on/off throttle, many, many turns.

I did go down to the 7mm carb insert and helped a little.Guess I could change gearing or put 5k in the back.

Talking .28

There was a lot of extra fuel line and 6 fuel filters

A mini R/C trailer was also involved.

:h a:

Just having fun with this.

What kind of truggy and where is the track? Is the track more

like a European Rally track, or US style with large jumps? Also, was

this in a race with others or on the track testing..

Talking .28

Well, interesting.. I went to Revelation Raceway for the Labor race. I entered

the 15 minute main 2 laps down. (had to swap an engine out ) I put in the

Werks B7. I finished the race with no flame outs, no pit stop because I didn't

know anyone there. (2nd time there with a car) So, I would say that was

about 11 - 13 minutes of running. I had about the thickness of a quarter left

in the tank. I didn't really think about it but, now that I am thinking, that

was kinda impressive. I know I could not have pulled that off with a .28. And

I thought the engine needed a rebuild.

I ran a 10 min main 2 weeks ago and didn't pit with the B5. Took 2nd place. Had about a quarter tank left. I showed the race director my tank after the 10 minutes and his jaw dropped. It is a stock motor. 150cc tank with one fuel filter and no extra line. The B5 has mileage. Only thing i sometimes wish it had was a few more RPM on top but most of the time it doesn't quite whine out on the straight. I won't push the B5 passed 11min just to be safe and it isn't necessary but i think 12:30 pits would be plenty safe with a good tune.

I'd have to say 16:30 on a clocked b5 isn't far fetched if a stock b5 can do 13. I'm willing to bet Neal ain't making this up. I've seen a clocked jpx at the track and that thing just sounds pissed.

I have a stock B5 and have tossed around the idea of Neal for my next engine. And if his B5 mod is making power and getting run times like that, then I should try one .

People forget the single biggest factor is the driver. Not all of us drive strapped out of our mind.
