I just recently ran the tecnopower it ran great, running approximately 200-205 degrees, held the tune, with probably 3/4 of gallon through it. Other than that it performed well very, smooth powerband from top to bottom, and good top end speed. I'm am not the smoothest driver (working on it) but it gave me the punch I needed when I was at the bottom of a jump out of a turn and it runs cool. I am very pleased with the motor and should be competitive with the other brands. I am looking forward to racing over the next couple weeks and placing the second one in the truggy and seeing how it performs.

I have a feeling there are going to be a few people that question everything TechnoPower is about But as long as we have the support of Tony, Rody, Team Managers and most of all the support of each other there will be nothing that is going to bring us down.

Some pics from page 15 TQ engines thread:

Now the Tecnopower B01, taken from Buggy-sport:
http://www.buggy-sport.info/index.ph...er-b01-21.html

Made in the same factory, and to me the internals look exactly the same, note the 07/10 marking on both crankshafts.
I can tell from experiece this is exactly what the GRP Tuned internals look like. Only difference: teardrops on 2 intake ports and the crank has putty and APS coating in the GRP. Another difference: rod has been updated in these 2 new engines but still fits the old GRP.
Now the new B01T seems truely different:
for example different crank and lightened coolinghead among other things (again from buggy-sport):

I myself find the B01T more of an evolvement of the old GRP Tuned and find it an interesting engine, curious to hear how it will perform in a truggy as the old GRP tuned is super smooth but lack a bit of low end.

Unless you are able to measure to a thousandth of an inch with nothing more than your eye balls the pictures will not tell much.
I can tell you externally the TP case is milled in several places. One is to make getting to engine screws easier. Another is to allow you to run 2 short header springs and one long header spring rather than 4 shorts. The shorts can come off from time to time so using both types gives some insurance in a long main. I also know the oil hole on the TP rod is improved over the TQ version.
Most important is I have not seen an old GRP or a TQ engine run like the TP did. If something has to physically look different for you to believe that they are different than wait a bit for the new engine coming out. Fact is they are ALWAYS going to look similar by eye and by specs because the specs on these engines work. Look at the bore and the stroke of the TP and TQ.... the new OS engines coming out are going from their ways of the past to a bore and stroke identical to these engines.

I think both TQ and Tecnopower B01 are probably great engines as i love my GRP tuned. Im also very interested what the B01T will bring...I'd buy it in a heartbeat if it's a bit more powerfull on bottom...will keep my eye on it

We have done alot of testing with head button sizes and shapes and found some of the designs have a distinct advantage to adding low end power over others. The production button used in all Tecno engines is different to all other previous versions. It adds power and efficiency (runtime). You also have the high compression head that is a tuning option that adds low speed torque, these need to be shimmed to your altitude and air quality by the user. Also on the Tuned engine the filled crank adds low speed response and power along with the new carburetor insulator. I expect the Tuned engine to be an improvement in low-mid speed response, mileage as well as power increases throughout the RPM range. They should run great in truggies.... if you dont want to use the .23 and maximize mileage.

All kidding aside I was happy to see the tq motor come out but I think I am going to take a closer look at the tp motor. I love my grp tuned alot and my werks even more but there is room for one more

ok guys i have had a couple complaints on this thread.... this is a good thread just like the other engine threads.. if you are here to start trouble i would recommend that you dont.. simple.... ask a question and you will get an answer... keep on track about the tecnopower engines please.. jeremy
