My 350 is at around 1.25gal and on a short loose track and turbo head (re10 pipe and 97T plug) in a 8B2.0 gets 7m safe thats it. last race of the yr my driver (who i was helpin out after a rough yr) was runnin 2nd just a straight behind after some mistakes late in run (now i wish they didnt cut race down to 15min heh) and i made call just run it if we run out well so what last race of yr-but at this pt if we pit we lose. leader did manage to make it on fuel (different motor pitted 1 lap later). we stopped at 7m mark not knowin how much fuel was wasted during grid. so we tried to go 8m+ on 2nd tank shot it in there very full (as we could get it). out fast. but he crossed the line the master clock ran out and so did he. just under 1lap short. oh well.

thought bout puttin stock pipe back on to see if it'd be better. that or a re11 which should be better w/o question.

Just fired up my new 350 for the first time, going to break it in fully w/ the stock non turbo head. I will be going turbo head here in a week or so. My question is how many shims to I put in? What plug is the best for economy/power? I have already read that the pipe of choice seems to be the re11? I'm looking for 10 min at the min. for mileage... If I can't hit that mark I might as well hang it up around my local tracks

Thanks guys!

BTW~ Before I even fired it I put new ceramics in it, as well as knife edged the rod @ work... Fired first try and perfect idle for the entire 1st tank, not even a hiccup!

Even though I’m getting good run time with stock head what happens fitting a turbo head, most report more power but what happens to run time.

Is it better,same or worse.
It worries me that I gain the extra power and chew up more fuel.

I live in Team Losi driver land... I built my 350 exactly the way they recommended and the motor comes to life...

Use the Turbo head conversion, the instructions tell you which shims to use and add the RE11 pipe. I read plenty here that say no to the RE11, but when one of the team drivers is waiting for a new Novarossi, thats what they run and it flies. I get right on 10 minutes... which means I pit at 9 mins comfortably.

Even 10 is short around here... Kinwald goes 15 without any trouble with his Novarossi.

little extra power with maybe 30 to 40 seconds better run time, honestly i went back to standard plug and just found right pipe and clutch set-up and got the same as turbo plug, plus the OS#8 and mc59 standard plugs are much cheaper

The stock losi one’s work ok but the shoes wear out to quick.
Install the hard wearing dynamite shoes and it will give you all the options you need for different tracks
