its still a 50w charger.. making it no better than the ($50 less than the hobby king badged version) Accucel 6 with a few charging harnesses.. unless you want to do 5 or 6s packs in which case the accucel 8 is still cheaper and way more powerful
i use an ancient laptop psu (15v 4a) to power my 6, loves it

Have you considered a balancing charger with enough power to charge the number of lipos you want to do in parallel? I've seen 6 lipos charged at once by a single charger. I've only done 2 at once in parallel, but that was at 2C charge rate (20amps).

Duster I run nitro 90% of the time so I am usually charging receiver bat. ,the occasional bump box bat. and transmitter bat. I run the ballistic 2700 nimh and 2000 lipo's for receiver, lipo and nimh for transmitter, 12v gell cell's for bump box. My son does run an electric slash so I do charge some stick packs. I would like to be-able to start buying the Life bat. for receiver and transmitter and the Ice says it will not charge Life. I have looked at a few chargers just not sure which to buy. Any advise would be great!

The Ice came out long before LiFes came out and which is the reason it (or its twin charger, Team Checkpoint 1030) doesn't charge LiFes.
You're charging a variety of batts and not demanding much in the way of charger output power, so a 50watt charger is fine. If you want to charge several diff batts of diff type at once, one of the Quad chargers might be suited to that purpose. Here's a review/discussion on the HC Quattro -

If it doesn't matter having ability to charge diff type of batts at the same time, then just pick a replacement charger thats maybe a little better than the Ice. This would be a decent replacement -

It does all chemistries, is a balancing type charger like you need for LiFes and has enough power to provide some flexibility if/when your needs change later. This is not the same charger HobbyCity cells for half price - I bought one from HC at this price, then a few months later, I noticed it was selling on HC for half as much. Thats also when I started seeing numerous complaints about it not working right being posted on RC Groups - HC must have asked for some at a diff price that were somehow cheaper (like no QC?). Mine has been fine in almost 2yrs useage, no probs. If interested in this one, you could discuss this with EP Buddy, I know they stand behind their chargers.
Another poss replacement would be the iCharger 106b -

My HobbyKing Quattro charger came today ! Came with a bunch of different charge leads and two ballancing leads and taps .
Operation is exactly like my Losi Intelligent charger and been charging batts to get ready for tonight . It will be much better only bringing one charger to the track . For size , it is a little bigger then the Ice but smaller then having two chargers on the pit table .
Another great inexpensive product from Hobby King !
