KO Propo EX-10 EURUS

407s work great. I have several and they will work with the faster frame rate too. The new 2 channel 210S work well too if you just need them for 2 channel applications. I use these in my offroad stuff. They work great too and are only 50$. The only difference between the 407 and 409 is that the 409 has the coaxial antenna for longer range. I have had no range problems with the other single wire antenna receivers 407 and 210.

This question is for the Ko Propo support staff on this forum, I'm in about my 5th month of using this radio and absolutely love it. Unfortunately this weekend at the final round of the North division RC Pro Series I experienced several loss of signals between the radio and receiver. I'm running a lipo receiver pack straight to the receiver, and when the problem occurs it's at no particular place on the track and it's similar to the failsafe being activated. If I'm turning a corner as I loose signal the tires stay in that direction for a few seconds before going straight and the throttle remains neutral. At first suspecting a bad switch twice this weekend I replaced switches, then for the pro Amain I went to a direct connection, two laps into the race I again lost signal. When the signal fails if I bring the truggy in and open the radio box the blue light on the receiver is showing power as well as the transponder, I balanced charged the lipo and my charger isn't showing any fault in either cell and it's putting out a full 8.4 volts at the end of the charge cycel. Any help would be appreciated in troubleshooting this, I love the radio but this somewhat reminds me of the issues I've had with the futaba faast system in the past and has me a bit perplexed. When this happened on the practice day I replaced the switch for the first time then ran 3 consecutive tanks and thought I had repaired it, then in the final qualifier the day after it happened again so it doesn't seem to have any rhyme or reason to the failure?

I'm switching to either the Futaba 4PKs or the KO EX-10 Euros but can't make up my mind. Does somebody want to help convince me?
Also, does this radio lock onto 2 channels like the Spektrum or does it bounce off different channels like the Futaba. I know the Helios was more like the Spektrum but I don't know what all has been changed.
Thanks.

Regarding servos I would recommend JR, they are the best servos out there in my opinion. amainhobbies.com/product_info.php/cPath/61_100/products_id/19298/n/JR-Z9100S-Digital-Ultra-Hi-Speed-Surface-Servo-Metal-Gear

No doubt, go for the Eurus. I have had dx3r and 4pk, but after I tried a helios I had to sell my 4pk after having it 1 month. It is the best radio to hold. Period.

But it also is the most costly. As for the servos. I would stay far away from JR, as they are over priced almost as bad a the futaba ones. I have used every brand of servo and while futaba was always pretty good. The ace servo's are great, and the spektrum servo's with the same ratings as the JR ones are cheaper. And I am pretty sure that JR is spektrum so I am a little confused at why the JR ones are so much more. Anyway, lately I have switched for on road anyway, to the savox servo. Check them out, they are essentially the same servos spec wise as the spektrum servos just cheaper. I have had zero issues with the ones I race. just my .2c
But definitely agree on the radio.

Hello,
Is the response mode setting for the whole radio, or can different response modes be set for different models? Can I have model 1 on DD:NORM and model 2 on DD:ADV? The car for model 1 has a 408s receiver and the car on model 2 has a 407s receiver.
Thanks in advance.

Thanks. I was thinking that was the case, but didn't know if I was missing something.

This has probably been asked before but can anyone tell if the KR-409S reciever or any other ko reciever compatabile with Eurus EX10 can run straight lipo (no regulator)...
Any help would be greatly appreciated

I am pretty sure that the KR-407S, 409S, and the 210S all can handle the 7.4 volts. It lists the operating voltage as 4.8 - 7.4V.

I will post this here, since it seems a lot of you have had experience with the EX-10 Helios. I have not had any trouble with this radio until the last couple of weeks, with my 2.4ghz module. I generally only turn on my radio at club races where it's just the group of guys on the driver's stand running their cars. However, I have gone to race at another facility (for on-road) where they also have a lot of people practicing off-road while we race, and my radio has started flaking out. I turn on the radio and the light on the transmitter module refuses to light up, and the receiver doesn't see a signal when the car is turned on. It's gotten to the point where I think I almost have to just turn the thing on and off until I get it to light up (which happens eventually), and then just leave it on the rest of the night, there. If I don't, I'll miss my race while I sit there turning the thing on and off, praying for the light to come on
There were a couple of KO Propo sponsored guys at the track the race the first day it happened and they swapped out my module for a new one, stating that mine was old and needed updating. They let me keep the new module, in fact...outstanding act of customer service by those guys. Unfortunately, the problem just keeps on happening. So my assumption is that the module is just having too much difficulty finding a radio channel to lock onto, with all the competing spread spectrum radios hopping frequencies all the time and whatnot?
Anyone have experience with this that knows what the solution is, or if there even is one? Does the Eurus have this issue, or has it been eliminated? I really don't want to have to go replace four receivers and my radio to fix the problem, if I don't have to - much as I'd like to have a Eurus!

The only time I have seen problems with the radio is if I turn the car on first. The radio does not like this at all. It will work when you don't have any other cars using the KO stuff. But if there are many, the radio does not get to scan for open channels before picking one, then when you turn your car on the receiver will lock on to the same channel as the radio. If you do it the other way, the receiver does not scan so it will be on the same (at least this is my understanding) channel as it was the last time you ran and then the radio has to try to find it. Which eliminates the open channel scan. But for the light not coming on, I have never seen this.
