Default hot days

I like the McCoy MC-8 in a standard head Nova, but in hotter summer times I change to the OD 99 plug. It's a bit thicker wire and holds up to the hotter engine around 250-260.

Turbo plugs/ I like the OD 97t the best, but the 87t is a nice plug for winter.....

In the summer I replace plugs more often than in winter or fall....

Default PLUG TEMPS

So whats the gerneral rule with the plugs? When it gets 90+ degrees with high humidity should you run a cooler plug and when the temp drops run a hotter plug?

that sounds about right but also i think it depends on what nitro % you run also.

Used to run SH T#6 plugs years ago... were fine but at some point i had lots of broken wires and stopped using them.

Tried os, mccoy, rb, novarossi, sirio...

The best one, OS P3, tried it and will never try any other plug on any engine i might own in the future.

I used to be one of those guys who carried 5-6 different brands of plugs in my cases and would always try something else whenever i had tuning problems...this is wrong...different plugs work differently on weather, tuning, track,..., and if something is wrong...it's either the tuning or something with the engine itself.

Stick with the plug you trust the most and throw everything else away.
